Located just off I-90, this small town offers a thriving Main Street and big outdoor recreation opportunities. Seven restaurants, four bars, three coffee shops, pastries, gifts, antiques, book, office, printing, health and fitness (And did we mention a quilt shop with two retreat centers) are all with in a few short blocks on Main Street. The Golf Course, fishing ponds, and multiple parks throughout town are connected via Rails to Trails biking and walking paths going both directions out of town to campground, hiking trails, fishing and floating as well as directly to Nearby Missouri Headwaters State Park. The park preservers the historic place where Lewis and Clark discovered the confluence of the Jefferson, Madison and Gallatin rivers creating the headwaters of the 2,300 mile Missouri River. Other near by area state parks include the Madison Buffalo Jump and the Lewis and Clark Caverns. Just outside of town the crossroads of hwy 287 connect Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park. Just north on 287 you’ll find epic mountain biking at the Copper City trails just past the world famous Wheat Montana Bakery and the Bleu Horses.
