Very clean comfy room, friendly staff (Rod), delicious breakfast, large parking area (bit tricky to navigate with large car) but plenty of room to park.
Absolutely stunning property for those who like a bit of history. Host was so accommodating to our needs. Beds were exceptionally comfortable and we felt so relaxed making the most of the roll top bath.
Breakfast was top drawer (loved the sausages especially). Nothing to fault. We’re already booked in for next year!
It was a great location and really pretty place with lovely gardens. The Japanese decor inside was unexpected but stunning. The quirky stairs to the ensuite was interesting but made it more fun. Lovely breakfast and friendly, helpful host.
Had a lovely stay, Rod the owner was very amiable and nothing was a problem ,breakfast was a delight too. Room spacious bathroom huge ! Would definitely return and recommend. WW
Quirky 500 year old property, very clean and spacious. Good breakfast with nice selection. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The garden is worth looking around before you leave.
Beautiful property set in stunning Japanese garden. Scrummy cooked breakfast and secure parking. A really lovely stay, would definitely return and highly recommend for a relaxing calming break. Thank you, Rod!
Lovely old property with original features and quirky. Very convenient for town and lots to do in the area. Host is very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely return.
Our host Rod is justly proud of his restoration of this historic property and his beautiful Japanese garden. Our room was comfortable and well set up (though quite small), and the location in Tenterden is perfect for great restaurants from high-end Italian at Montalbano to good pub food at The Vine. Nearby are several fantastic National Trust gardens and the unique museum at actress Ellen Terry's house in Small Hythe. Perfect for a short break in Kent.
My husband and I had a delightful stay at this charming bed and breakfast on Saturday night. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped . Perfectly located to explore tenterden on foot. In the morning, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast served in a quaint little courtyard besides the beautiful Japanese garden which added to the serene ambiance . The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. I highly recommend this lovely B&B for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway in the Kent countryside.
A delightful overnight stay, with easy parking, a very quirky and comfortable room and splendid breakfast from our host.

Very pleasant stay
We only stayed one night but spent a comfortable evening there. The breakfast in the court yard was novel and very good on a sunny morning.
Tenterden has many interesting shops, cafes and restaurants/pubs
Unique was : it is a very old building, it has a very nice host, it is near the shops, there is a beautiful garden, free parking, great breakfast....etc etc...This was our second visit...and we will be back again and again!
Rod greeted us on arrival, showed us to our room which was fabulous, it had everything we needed, and the bed was so comfortable.
The breakfast was cooked to order, with good quality ingredients.
Rod has a very friendly manner and nothing was too much trouble.
I highly recommend this hotel, and we will most definitely return.
Thanks Rod
It was a unique property to stay in, very old but still very comfortable. Rod was an excellent host. Very good location to visit Tenterden and surroundings.
