Travel Tip: Follow the coastline to find amazing, secluded beaches. This stunner is off the beaten track but the beautiful rock-pools with abundant sea-life make the extra drive worth it. As you can see this also links up to Mangawahi beach with beautiful white sand and some pretty great surf. I personally love to climb to the top of Te Arai Point and look out over the coast line.

One of the most beautiful and unknown beaches in the Auckland region - Te Arai Point. Stunning! And a good spot for self-contained freedom camping too. #beach
Te Arai Beach at sunset. This beach is one of Auckland's best kept secrets - great surf, white sand, warm water and pretty empty most of the time. #nzmustdo
