The inside of the motel was very warm, like there had been no air conditioning on. The handicapped rooms, which I requested, are on the second floor, and there was no elevator service. I was initially told that the elevator went out just 30 minutes prior to our arrival, but the next day a housekeeper told me that the elevator had been down for several days. Attempts were made towards the end of my stay to fix the elevator, but we could not access it because it was never completely fixed. There were no available rooms on the first floor during the time that we stayed there, as I would check in daily with the front desk.
There was some construction going on, and that was the reason why they had no breakfast, as we were led to believe initially that they did.
The last night we stayed there, there were issues with the air conditioning in the room. The clerk from the front desk had to come up and replace a portion of the unit in order for us to get decent air conditioning. It just seemed to be one thing after another. The staff at the front desk at least was courteous and helpful.
The only incident with the front desk person was when we were trying to check out. I asked him to bring the dolly, the luggage dolly, to the bottom of the stairs, so we could have something to place our luggage on after we had to tow it down the hallway and then juggle it down the stairs. He didn’t understand what I was referring to, even though I thought it was obvious.
