Polynesian Cabins by Kon Tiki
8/10 Good
"This Hotel was very cute and such a great idea for an eco friendly place! Small with its quirks (bunk bed style a bit difficult to climb, auto water buttons that you push in shared baths every min or so while showering, and no give in a late checkout) but such great staff, helpfulness on letting us hang out before our midnight flight! Luggage stow and getting to take that shower before the flight was a bonus! Cafe food was great and top floor bar sunset view was amazing! Count on spending for taxi to/from.. And just a bit expensive, but we found that to be true in these islands. Great local food trucks were available for dinner near by! I only give it 4 stars due to shared bathroom floor cleanliness as the women’s, unfortunately, had feces smeared for quite some time :("
Hilton Hotel Tahiti

"Lovely clean room kept spotlessly clean and equipped Pool was huge and great with nice service for drinks and snacks. The restaurants were a bit hit or miss for dinner.. San was really good but the Taitea Brasserie was mediocre. A good hotel in French Polynesia should be able to do much better. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel, firstly because of the prices, and secondly because the hotel is connected to a shopping centre with great local cafes and a Carrefour supermarket."

"A clean room with helpful staff - but not sound-proof. We were in the special needs accessible room on the main floor and could hear every single person with their luggage coming up and down the stairs. Make sure you have good sound-canceling earbuds!"
Sublime Tahiti Beach Retreat

"We received a delightful welcome by Ann, who speaks English well. The resort is in a gorgeous and central location, with a beautiful pool. However, do not expect any walkable amenities such as restaurants or grocery stores - you need transportation to do anything. The restaurant next door is currently only open for buffet lunch. Nevertheless, there are plenty of options within a 15 minute drive!"
