When we first stepped foot in the hotel, we received a warm welcome with a glass of water. The host personally greeted us and gave us ideas for our stay. Our room was amazing, with our own balcony and sea view. The breakfast included was top notch.. it was a specialized menu you could order from ( verses a continental breakfast most hotels have). The staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this boutique hotel!

Exceptional Stay at Hotel Ploes on Syros island

Our first time visiting the island of Syros, and I would highly recommend Hotel Ploes to friends and family. The location of this hotel is ideal, close by to all the restaurants, shops, town square, beach & more. The owner, her staff and service were exceptional. Included breakfast was incredible on the terrace/restaurant within the Hotel overlooking the sea. The room was very nice, clean and had everything we needed, including a mini fridge stocked up with water, wine, and juices. The bathroom in our room was immaculate, with a soaker tub that was divine. We had a sea-view room, but also a private balcony with VIEWS that are perfection. The hotel itself is stunning, has so much character with its vintage details that contain so much history. Really beautiful hotel, I will definitely be coming back here for a longer stay next time!

We were welcomed to the beautiful, restored townhouse that is Hotel Ploes, by its owner, Lina and her little dog. Nothing was too much trouble, from the provision of information about Syros to phoning taxis for us. Her restaurant recommendations were excellent, as was her very worthwhile recommendation to visit the town's art gallery which was exhibiting some of the work of the famous Greek sculptor, Theodoros Papagiannis. Her authored novel, Konstantza, Tales of Vaporia - provided in our room at the beginning of our stay and gifted to us at the end - managed to blend a fictional story with the history of the island and, in particular, the area of Vaporia, along with the careful renovation of the building that has become Hotel Ploes. It added to the enjoyment of our stay (26-29 June 2026). Our room - sea facing with a large terrace and situated at the top of the hotel - was scrupulously clean, as was the hotel in general. The beautiful decor throughout reflected the building's sympathetic restoration. All staff were courteous and helpful and the breakfasts were generous and of good quality. A very unique and upscale property full of interesting art. An amazing breakfast in the morning. Perfect location and a friendly staff....felt like visiting friends in their gorgeous home...but even better.

What a wonderful experience. Hotel Ploes is elegant, artfully decorated, beautiful, right on the water and center of town. Superb and attentive stufff. Very relaxing. Delicious meals on their veranda with sea views and breathes. One would not want to go anywhere else after staying here.

Attentive staff, understated elegance

Terrific boutique hotel. Beautiful rooms (7 total), elegant environment, perfect location close to everything, stunning view from common areas and memorable breakfast made fresh as ordered and available from 8AM to 5PM. Incredibly attentive staff taking care of all our needs from selection of beach, restaurant reservations and even concert tickets. We felt like guests and not clients.
