"The staff at the Mountain View Hotel were helpful and friendly, making my first-time stay in Calistoga relaxing and refreshing. My room was clean & spacious, including a walk-in closet, in-room safe, air conditioning, & natural light. The pool was well maintained & the adjoining patio served as an outdoor theater to watch movies. The complimentary continental breakfast was brought to my room each day. The hotel is located within a short walk of restaurants, shops, and other spas. This hotel is also on the US National Register of Historic Places & is a great choice if you aren't bringing a car or pets, & if you don't need to use an elevator."

"We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the easy access in and out. Room was comfortable, quiet, and had the basic amenities. One suggestion would be a complimentary coffee/tea station for guests. Otherwise a great location and easy walk to shops and restaurants."

"This is the second time we have stayed here and we really enjoy it. The rooms are small, but clean. We did not have any problems with sharing the restrooms and showers. The attached restaurant has really good food and drinks that seem reasonably priced for the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. Plan on entertaining yourself! No television in the rooms. Bring a book and turn off the technology for a while. They do have wifi for those who can't unplug."

"Per was an excellent host. We had a party of 10 and he was very responsive. Beautiful home and well appointed kitchen. Remote but beautiful views from the house. Spectacular up there! Sprinters able to get up there to pick us up, party of 10. All bedrooms had king beds and baths! And plenty of supplies. Would highly recommend if you want amazing views, quiet nights and wildlife!"

"The only issue we had was the way we drove in from the 101 coming from north it was very difficult. Don’t come in that way. Other than that, the place is beautiful and the people are very helpful and sweet."

"Wonderful location; right in a vineyard. The vines form the railings of the decks. Very private, very pretty. Nicely decorated and clean. Easy dealing with the host. It’s at the northern end of Napa Valley, but it’s still an easy drive to lots of good wineries and restaurants. "
