"Clean hotel and comfortable. Air conditioning was not working properly though."

"Cliveden is truly an amazing place to experience! We have stayed here before and this time was even better. Their staff is also absolutely amazing! We had quite a journey getting to England because our original flight to Paris was canceled so we got to Paris later than anticipated and then the trains to England were down because of the heat wave so we couldn't get to London as originally planned either. After over 24 hours of airports and traveling, canceled flights, missing non refundable...

"Staff were so friendly and helpful in arranging travel for us to get to Wembley stadium as my mum has a walking problem. The room was basic but very clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely use it as a base again if we were going to watch a concert at the stadium as the experience was so easy over the 2 days and is a great location for any concerts there."

"Nice modern rooms with AC and a comfortable bed, toiletries could do with an upgrade. Good food available at the pub. Nice breakfast, but it would be nice to be able to order a cappuccino."

"Couldn’t fault the room, it was clean and spacious. What I would say is avoid the restaurant, we found the food inedible. We ordered chicken korma and garlic naan… the “naan” was a greasy, oily chipati and as for the korma, not sure what part of the chicken it was but taste and texture was just plain wrong As for the creamy korma sauce, we were served green, runny sauce with no flavour whatsoever. Just awful, we couldn’t eat it, just paid the bill and ate elsewhere. AVOID at all costs."

"Hotel was lovely staff was really helpful both in the hotel and bar. Bedroom was lovely and thankyou for putting fans in the room for us. There was a hair on the bathroom floor and one of the taps moved when turned on, if in shower to long it would over flow"

"Just a one night stay while visiting old friends. The reception staff were our major interaction with the staff and both Jasmine and Stella were amazing! They were both very helpful and aware of the difficulties imposed by the extreme heat. Many thanks to both of them!"

"On arrival, staff were informative and helpful. Room was extremly small (as expected) but fine for 1 night. Plenty of dust but its because everything is black so even if you have just cleaned, it looks dusty. Drinks and pool area nice, not the cheapest but acceptable. Food in thai was nice and didnt have to wait very long. Room and various areas of the hotel are in need of fixing (cracked mirrors, sinks etc) the property design is so high mai tence its almost impossible to keep this interior...

"It does exactly what it says on the tin. I always stay here during Henley royal regatta. It’s not cheap and this time the room was a bit small, but generally it’s all good. Staff were super nice. For me, a bonus is having Waitrose and another supermarket just a few minutes away. Means I don’t have to buy hotel food."

"Fantastic hotel, excellent public transport connections. Family room was perfect for a single night stay. Both dinner and breakfast in the bar were excellent. Staff were all cheerful and very helpful. Would highly recommend."

"Great stay"

"Check in was nice and quick but unfortunately for us that is where it all went wrong. Firstly we were given the wrong room type and ok we could have looked past this but the heat within the room was unbearable. There was one fan left for us that hardly gave any relief of the heat and was positioned in a place no where near the sleeping area. There was the loud noise from an air con unit that again unfortunately was plugged in the opposite side of the suite. When I went to reception to complain...

"The room was not properly cleaned and we had to clear hairballs and dust. We cleaned the room ourselves before unpacking. The shower flooded the bathroom and it had obviously done this before as the bathroom door was rotten - bits of wood coming out. Mould around the edges and the towels were stained. Also had to request a second set of towels which were given to us in the bar and not put in our room. Disappointing for a large chain. Would not recommend staying here."
