With our boat anchored in Port Pegasus on the south side of Stewart Island we explored the granite domes. This is an area that is very seldom visited.

Stewart Island is the New Zealand island south of the South Island. The only town, Oban has a small population, but the majority of the island is very seldom visited. Some parts are reachable by hiking trail while others like the bay in the south are only reachable by boat.
