"Room was clean and comfortable but starting to show signs of needing attention (worn through couch covers, split pillow case) the TV didnt want to turn on and there has been a downgrade in the bathroom amenities from the baylis & harding i loved. Parking was plentiful"

"Made very welcome and good parking the local buses stop outside which a nice bonus breakfast was excellent"

"Beautiful hotel and staff"

"Excellent stay at the Briarcroft Hotel. We needed a place near the wedding venue we attended and this was right on the doorstep. The rooms were exceptionally clean, the staff were very attentive when needed. The continental breakfast was very nice, orange juice, cereal, toast. Parking right outside the hotel. Everything we needed was right there including local shops, bars and restaurants. We will definitely use this place again"

"Cute hotel, good location, modern, and nice to have the tavern attached for a drink and breakfast, but the double room was very small and with no closet, drawers or anywhere to put suitcases we had little floor space left. Too cramped for a couple but probably great for one person. Also it's loud if you have a room facing the square. I would stay again, but in a larger room at the back of the hotel."

"Excellent all round food and accommodation"

"We enjoyed a wonderful stay, and a really good meal too, thank you!"

"Friendly front of house staff. Location on a main road, so didn't have bathroom window open. Very convenient, would happily use again."

"Never again. Obviously a dhss hostel. Wafer thin walls and doors slamming till 4am every night. Would nt check me in cos I had no photo I'd, and had to change the name on my booking to my work mates even though I'd paid in full. Wouldn't wish a stay here for my worst enemy"

"Very helpful staff. Good choice of food and drink. Comfy beds"

"Easy parking, lovely staff, comfortable bed and amazing food. Will stay again."

"The place looks old, tatty and worn, but reasonably clean and I did sleep really well after initially thinking the mattress was too soft. At £89 per room it was a little bit more than I thought it was worth."
