"The staff were friendly enough. The cleanliness and general upkeep of the building and rooms was average. The ensuite smelt of drains, there was no remote for the tv. Overall, an average stay."

"This B&B was well located to explore the area. The room was sufficient and comfortable for a 2 night stay and there was enough free parking and restaurants round about which helped make the stay easy."

"Good location however if driving parking can be difficult, though paid parking across the road. £7.50/24 hrs. It is above a pub so can be noisy. Room spacious as we were 3 adults. Tea/coffee in room. Nice view from our room. Ocean views. Staff helpful. We had no hot water first night and they tried their best to get sorted. No air conditioning - a small fan in room - was hot, albeit middle of summer! Nice breakfast included- continental and cooked if you wish."

"Wow what can I say… we loved staying at Borthalan House. The location is perfect for St Ives with train station only a few minutes away and easy routes to beautiful places such as St Michael’s Mount and Minack Theatre. What made our stay extra special was Margaret and Martin who really looked after us. Margaret’s breakfast was delicious and Martin’s humour gives us a good kickstart to the day. Borthalan House was really cosy and the room we stayed in had lovely sea views. We will miss our daily...

"Me and my partner absolutely loved our stay at the coast accommodation from being greeted to very welcoming and friendly staff to a very clean apartment with amazing sea view from the rooms plus everything was a short walking distance away from Carbis bay beach which takes about 11 minutes to the amazing costal path that takes you right to st ives with views that are hard to beat"
