"The daily ferry from Bar Harbor, Maine arrives in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia at about 7:30 PM each day. This includes the one hour time zone difference in the voyage. Getting the car off the ferry and then going through Canadian customs and immigration inspection takes until about 8PM. By that time of night, you really don't want to drive far in a foreign province of a foreign country. This large hotel is on the main road from the ferry, about 1/2 mile away. It has parking, friendly staff working at night. The rooms are average size hotel rooms, with air conditioning, The rooms are clean and the prices are reasonable. Yarmouth is not known for its cooking and restaurant attractions, as most of the other Nova Scotia cities and towns are. The hotel does have a restaurant for both dinner and breakfast, which is convenient. I would recommend this hotel on the night you arrive by ferry to Yarmouth and the night before you leave Yarmouth by the early AM ferry."

"Beautiful beach view and wave sounds, lovely gazebo/tent fire pit area and the sauna was great for those of us who like heat. Amazing to just walk down to one of the nicest beaches I’ve ever seen. Staff were very kind."

"The cottage really out did the photos. It felt like home immediately, only with Great Lake views from every window. My first thought was I wonder if they’d like to sell this place! Jacques is a great host and responded right away to questions and took care of all our needs. Suggested a local farmers market, restaurants and even gave us a jar of his pickled bar clams. Super guy and host."

"Great stay with everything we needed and then some! It was myself, my husband and our 2 year old staying here. The amenities were plentiful- paddle boards, kayaks, hot tub, fire pits with fire wood, grill. Location was great-about 25 min from Yarmouth, just 10 mins to the most beautiful west facing beach for sunset. It was a lovely, peaceful stay. Bonus- all the locals we met were so welcoming and friendly. Also- can’t beat the price!"
