"Beautiful house, clean, and family friendly. We loved the split floor plan! Great communication with the hosts! Was looking forward to using the fire pit but weather did not permit that! We loved the available games in the house and the electric fireplace. Quiet neighborhood with a short walk to the lake and playground. The only negative I could mention is the beds are very firm. I didn’t mind it but a few people in my family were not fans."

"This cozy home was exactly what we wanted. Very quiet, conveniently located near Ashland U. Bedrooms comfy, bathroom, kitchen and living room all extremely clean. Nice and cool AC during a warm summer visit. A great place to hang out with family, play games or watch a movie. We enjoyed cooking instead of eating out, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Great host communication as well. We would love to return."

"The room was really clean. No stoppers or screens on any of the windows on the 3rd floor, could potentially be a safety hazard. Bed was cozy, water super hot. Breakfast was, ok. I would stay here again. Just nothing to rave about."

"As a couple, we always get a suite so that when one of us snores, the other can sleep on the pull-out couch in peace. This is why we stay at Home2 in various places where we travel. This time, however, the pull-out sofa mattress was all springs and no cushioning - pretty much the worst in any hotel we've tried. It was like it had been slept on since the 80s. We are well aware that convertible sofa bed mattresses are never amazing, but as an advertised option (i.e., the room is advertised as sleeping more than just 2 in the king bedroom), we expect it to not be painful to lay on. I'm only around 130 pounds and the springs were digging into my hips the night I tried to sleep on it. Otherwise, it seems like a very nice property, and the staff were all extremely hospitable from a maintenance person I passed in the hallway to the front desk folks, so many other aspects of this property are excellent. But please, don't advertise that sofabed as a viable place to sleep for $200 a night. That's just not fair."

"The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated the complimentary coffee in the mornings and being able to open the windows in my room for some fresh air. The location was also excellent, with easy access to walking paths as well as several good restaurants and coffee shops nearby. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant one evening and ordered the 1833 salad, which was delicious. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay."

"This is a budget hotel with no frills, and for sure it is a little run down. However, it is the only place I have ever stayed where a hotel employee has asked with genuine curiosity if there was anything amiss with the room (there was--the toilet was wobbly though perfectly functional), and I genuinely believe he intended to address the issue. Also, when I arrived late at night, very tired from the road, the gentleman at the front desk was so welcoming and kind and helpful it really helped cheer me up. Luxurious? No. But it was a restful and pleasant stay."

"Very clean. Felt safe as a female solo traveler. My only somewhat negative comment is to piggy back on what others have mentioned about a slight smell in the rooms probably from what kind of cleaning supplies they use. Also, there is no elevator so make sure you ask for ground floor if you can't climb stairs. Would definitely stay again."
