"We arrived a week before derby in hopes of checking off a large bucket list. The historical Galt House was part of that for me. Our room was halfway clean as evidenced by previous patron’s hair in the bathroom and nail clippings beside the bed. The marijuana smell flowing down the hall was accompanied by non-stop pounding music. The front desk was notified several times without anyone ever coming up to stop the incessant partying. The wall unit A/C was loud, filthy & barely doing it’s job the whole time. This hotel has 2 towers & the west tower had staff at the front desk twice. The hotel has no security features (the doors unlocked & unmanned, the elevator key access not activated). Miraculously the day the bulk of derby goers arrived the common areas were tidied up. We plan on making derby a habit but sadly not at this location."

"Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Busy week as it was Derby week and this location is about a mile to Churchill Downs. Rooms were clean, breakfast was hot and several menu choices. Bar was reasonable. Didn't use any other amenities ."

"The location to Churchhill Downs is excellent. Was able to an Uber and was there in minutes. Neighborhood was nice and clean also. Nice local bar one block away with excellent food and service (Old Louisville Tavern). The property was very clean and had all the amenities that was listed. We had 2 dogs and plenty of room for both. All the bedrooms had their own TV if you wanted to just relax in your room. A Keurig and drip coffee maker were both furnished with k-pods and coffee also. Although it is located on a somewhat busy street, the house is well insulated and noise level was minimum. Would definitely stay here again and Kapil was very easy to work with."

"We were only there 1 night so didn’t experience much. Rooms were clean and spacious with full kitchen. Breakfast is nice bonus. Perfect location for visit to University of Louisville and also super close to Churchill Downs."

"Well located B&B in old Louisville. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Breakfast each morning was a culinary treat! Truly delicious food. Annette, our Innkeeper, was absolutely delightful. She was helpful and informative. The carpet in 3rd floor bedrooms are overdue for replacement. But it is a charming property. We also had James working at the inn during our stay, and he was very helpful as well. Staff that we interacted with were outstanding."

"The place has character and seems to be well taken care of. Breakfast is different and well prepared, but not that filling. Our biggest problem was not getting any hot water in the shower or the bathroom sink tap even after letting the water run for 20 minutes with the knob turned to the max on the right hand side (tried other settings too). And the bnb message about the access code did not arrive “within 48h of check-in” as given in the Expedia description, but just 5 hours before check-in, after multiple phone calls and emails to them."
