"Really liked the relaxed atmosphere right on the beach. Staff were Fijian friendly with wide smiles - Bula every time ! Need a better bar tab system when in a group and a better swimming pool but other than that an affordable and central location. Will be back."

If you’re carrying cases it’s almost impossible unless you’re a young athlete. "Overall, a very pleasant experience staying at Novotel. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, even offering late check out, uninitiated by me, at no extra cost. I would definitely pay the extra for the second floor rooms (deluxe room and above). The increase in price is relatively minor, and the privacy and views from your balcony is well worth it. "This is pure heaven. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. When we arrived I had a room that didn't tick the boxes for me, Within an hour they had us moved without any issues. The room was not as nice as we expected the curtains had holes from moths and some of the lights were burned out in the main room so it felt like a dark cave. We found a dead cockroach in the main room on the first night that was not cleaned up for 2 days. A second roach showed up in the bathroom the very next day too. "My husband and I could not fault The Islander. From the moment we checked in we felt like part of a large family.
