Great hosts at the red lion amazing food and lovely feel at home rooms really reasonable rates including a one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a lovely location 100% will be staying here again and I have passed on details to my staff for when they visit the areas.
we had a great stay at the Red Lion. Amazing food. Very comfortable bed and good quality linens. But I think the staff was the key to all this success they were lovely and helpful. If only one thing I would improve is the water pressure in the bathroom. There isn't any :)
A lovely large room with all we needed, comfortable and clean. We ate in the pub for dinner, a fantastic meal, one of the best pub meals we’ve ever had. Staff recommended a red wine which was delicious! Nice garden and setting, can imagine a super place to sit in the sun and enjoy a wood fired pizza. Throughly enjoyed our stay here.
This was a real find. A late decision to stay in the area led us to this real gem. The room was perfect - well decorated and all facilities provided but it is the restaurant that needs to be particularly commended. The food was amazing.

Not the best.
We booked 1night stay on a Sunday, and booked dinner for 7.30, we enjoyed a drink in the afternoon in the garden, then found out the pub shuts from 4-6, would have been nice to have been told before trying to get another drink. We came down to the restaurant at about 6.30 to be told they had already run out of beef, also to order now before they run out anything else and ended up eating before 7.00, not the best experience although the room was spacious and comfortable.

Great to visit of lunch, but wouldn’t stay again
The overall experience was good. Good is great and staff are lovely. However, the condition of the rooms was less than satisfactory. One of the booked rooms for our group had ripped, stained towels on offer for the bathroom… Another issue was with the shower in the couples room not having a way to only turn one shower head on, it just runs both at low pressure.
The bathroom sink hot taps are almost unusable, being close to boiling.
I very rarely leave poor reviews as I’m aware of their impact. But in all fairness and honesty, the Red Lion was actually the worst part of our weekend trip.
The location was very close to our main event which was great, and once again, staff were lovely and food was decent quality, but I wouldn’t rebook the place.

The room was a good size but was freezing cold on our arrival. The shower control was broken and the duvet was dirty.
What a place! Set in a charming village, the accommodation was simple yet incredibly stylish. The food offering is superb and service excellent. Will definitely stay here again.
Stayed here for a weekend break and absolutely loved it. The room was extremely clean and homely. Would definitely recommend this hotel / pub and would definitely stay here again. The freshly made pizzas stole the show!
What an absolute treat The Red Lion is. I went of pervious reviews and it didn’t disappoint. In fact it exceeded my expectations, what a gem of a place. The Staff were simple amazing, David and Jasmine were fantastic and always on hand of we needed anything. The rooms are so comfortable and modern, the Breakfast was fabulous and the food in the pub was outstanding. My only problem is that I won't have the homemade biscuits that were in the room, tonight with my cuppa tea when i am at home.
Beautiful location, quaint country pub and hotel. Pet friendly. We had a lovely room but very disappointed to find our shower was faulty. Couldn’t fault the food, we had a lovely dinner and breakfast and all the staff were lovely.
A lovely unassuming country pub. We stayed here while at Glastonbury festival and it was a dream to come back to with our 7 month old for a bit of respite. Great breakfast too.
