"Clean hotel, unfortunately the dining area is far too small when the hotel is busy. Although a dog friendly hotel, you are asked to sit in a specific area and if it's busy, you may have to wait an hour or so, or take breakfast in your room, despite tables being available and the food area being separate from the seating area. "Comfortable base for exploring the southwest corner of the UK. Had requested a high floor in my reservation but was placed below the lobby overlooking what seemed like the personnel parking lot, which was a bit of a bummer. It’s the small things one does that can make an average impression a great one, and make one return. Hotel was definitely not full. Perhaps I got dinged for not making my reservation through their website or perhaps the lower priced rooms are just simply downstairs.."

"We had a lovely stay in the suite. Once the windows were closed it was super quiet and the bed was very comfy. The room clean and cosy. The hairdryer was broken tho'. The hotel is full of character and so I think its old style decor is part of its charm. Even so a more.modern feel to the bedrooms woulf be a good idea. The secret garden could be stunning and does has some lovely plants however it felt a tad grubby (sticky tables). Sraff amazing. "
