Great location

House needs better management and closer attention to a maintenance program. We experienced lots of problems that should have been attended to prior to our arrival. Otherwise, great location with walking distance to many bars and restaurants in Maho Beach.

Great for a big family!

This property was perfect for a large family. We had plenty of space, beds and even table space with a large table in the dining room and one on the patio. Great views and location.

Great views from this ocean front home!

The house was very spacious as we were traveling with 11 in our party. The pool and beach view were perfect. We had a great time and Ricardo (the host) and his team provided great recommendations during our stay.

Incredible

The property was everything that we anticipated. Great accommodation for our large group. Daily check in with the property manager provided effective resolution to any small issues. Location was perfect for our needs. A great stay and would recommend to any larger (multi family) group.

Wonderful family reunion in paradise.

Our family of 16 stayed at Rikki's property. We were a little concerned because of the recent hurricane, but Rikki made sure everything was prepared for our stay. If there was ever an issue with the house, Rikki made sure it was attended to within the day. We were within walking distance from the famous airport and visited there to watch the planes take off and land many times. On our last night Rikki surprised us with a chef who made us a 4 course meal. Overall we had an amazing trip and had many great memories spent besides the pool. I would highly recommend Rikki's house to anyone who is visiting St. Martin

AMAZING VACATION - GREAT SERVICE - WE LOVE RIKKI

This vacation was a very special one for my family and I. My 80 year old mother was visiting a place that my family and I call home. We come to Saint - Martin every year and this has been our 3 times staying at Villa Sunshine. Upon arrival I had worked with Rikki to make it like a super star arrival well guess what he went all out for us. Had red carpet laid out for us, served us bubbles and had wonderful carnaval dancers my mom was so excited she started dancing Rikki and his team made us great dinner réservations we just gave them our budget and times and we trusted he and his team to do the rest. My mom loved looking at the airplanes landing. Yes you are near the Airport but you will never be worried about airplane noise trust me you donnot hear a thing. On our last night Becky the cleaning lady made us a wonderful meal. OOh Darling this girl can cook a great meal. Becky not only did a great job cleaning but her cuisine is also Fab Fab Fab And the best surprise not even I knew about and that was the special touch why we return to saint- martin is because of its people and the friendly spirit they bring to you. Ok so Rikki had a live SAX player and singer for our own private concert with M Connus and Ms Betti V what a duo. Rikki Get Ready for 2018 we will be back. We love Saint Martin I can tell everyone no place in this world you can find and feel welcomed than being on the Caribbean Rock

Fantastic Villa

I booked villa sunshine with Rikki and two days before my check-in this horrible review was posted which got me so scared. I booked this villa for my sons bday with family and imagine this was scary. But upon arrival the villa was just perfect as listed the photos indicated. The outdoor area was great, the rooms spacious, the music system works perfect, the wifi, the kayaks. The hole experience was great, the concierge service was very high end. I was not disapointed in booking this property. I fill so bad that the last guest could not have experienced what I have experienced because the service was great. THANK YOU RKKY

RENTERS BEWARE!!!

We rented the villa in this picture and paid in full back in February for a trip the end of May beginning of June. We received a confirmation from Rikki and other emails regarding our trip. Fast forward now to May 28th. We were greeted by Marcia at the car rental place as promised. She drove us to check into the house. This is where the nightmare began! We were being checked into an entirely different house! This house was a dump! I absolutely refused to stay in it. I logged on to my emails and showed Marcia our confirmation email. She truly seemed surprised. She called Rikki. He got on the phone with me and said there must have been a "reservation software glitch" and someone is in the house we rented. I truly feel he knew this ahead of time and decided not to tell us. He tried to make it better by having the dumpy house fully stocked with food and drink. He said he would try to make it right the best he could do but he offered no options. Marcia got on the phone with another property caretaker and offered to take us to the other side of the island to see a house that was available. After seeing our only option, we decided to stay there. We were supposed to be waterfront/Dutch side and ended up on the other side of the island hillside/French side. Marcia and Austin the property caretaker were great. The two of them were very helpful and helped to turn our trip around. We never heard from Rikki again. No formal apologies or anything. Having a concierge was another perk of the rental, except after the initial meeting with Jasmine, we never heard from her again while we were there. She told us to text her if we wanted to make reservations anywhere or needed advice where to go. We text her for snorkeling reservations but never heard from her. We did everything on our own and listened to the advice Marcia gave us when we checked in. Our trip was not a total bust but not sure I would rent through VRBO again and especially not through Rikki and his properties.

Absolutely Amazing!!!!

I cannot say enough about our one week stay in this beautiful villa. It exceeded our expectations. Besides the villa having everything we needed to accommodate our group of 10, the location was ideal - so close to everything!!!! Also the Property Manager, Rikki, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and he was always available if we had any questions or special requests. My husband and I have been to Sint Maarten several times through the years and stayed in different places on the island. However this definitely was our favorite place and we highly recommend it!!!! We want to thank Rikki for everything he did for us. He certainly was a pleasure to deal with.

Villa Sunshine - Best Family Vacation Ever!

In January 2017 our family of 11 adults stayed at Villa Sunshine and had a wonderful vacation! The house is spacious, clean, pictures are accurate of home inside and out, accommodating everyone. The outdoor living space with the pool, chaise lounge chairs, dining table was perfect for our large group. The views from the house of the ocean were beautiful! We felt safe in the neighborhood. The location was great, walking distance to Sunset Bar where the airplanes pass over the beach, and a fun place to grab lunch or a cocktail over sunset. Rikki, the house manager and the staff of Villa Sunshine were kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Housekeeping and pool maintenance come in through the week keeping our needs met and maintaining a clean stay throughout the entire week. Rikki was so helpful answering many questions as we made plans for our trip. Rikki referred us to Paradise Catering. Chef Maeve and partner Joel were FANTASTIC. They created delicious food, they were professional, personable, very creative, and made our vacation so special. Their prices are reasonable, if you want to treat yourself while on vacation and get out of the kitchen please consider them! Maeve and Joel felt like family as we got to know them throughout the week. The house was so nice we preferred eating in a few extra nights rather then dining out. We also booked a day of sailing and snorkeling with Random Wind. For a fun day of sailing, snorkeling, tarzan swing leaping into the water, cocktails, lunch (included with the ticket price) make this a fun day for everyone! We've been on other day sails that take you out to islands for snorkeling but the sailing can be long and if a breezy day it can be a challenge. Random Wind keeps you near the shoreline so it's fun to see sites. Captain Trevor and 1st mate Anna spoil you taking care of everything to make the day a lot of fun! Our family would defiantly consider a trip back and staying at Villa Sunshine! Thanks Rikki!

Amazing Location

Rikki was waiting at the rental car company for us. He was warm & so helpful. The villa was absolutely spotless & in the best location. The 10 of us girls had an absolutely wonderful time. Can't wait to return to wonderful St Martin.

Sunshine it is

Rikki and his team were fabulous. They met us upon arrival and explained how things in the house worked. Rikki also gave us great suggestions of places to eat and hang out. Angeline, checked on and booked tours and Marcia assisted when necessary. Becky, the housekeeper, was very sweet and kept things clean and restocked. She came almost every other day. The pool and grounds keeper rocked as well. They kept the pool and grounds clean. The two minor repair requests were handled immediately. The house is gated as most of the houses in the neighborhood. It's a ranch styled home on the beach with beautiful oceanviews but I don't think that portion of the beach is swimmable as it's very rocky. We found the house to be as pictured with the exception of the windows in the gray and lavender bedrooms. The pictures show views to the outside from these rooms, however, the windows in these bedrooms were obstructed by storm shutters, I think, that could not raised. Although, the windows were obstructed, the rooms were large and somehow not dark. The mattresses on the beds were quite firm so if you don't mind that, your stay will be perfect. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and pots and pans so you'll just need to bring the food. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool area. We listened to the music system outside and saw cruise ships passing by. I would definitely recommend this property as well as any other property that this team manages. There are things in Maho which is walking distance but I would STRONGLY recommend renting a car unless you don't mind being confined to the house. Taxi's are very expensive as they charged $50 for four people to come from the airport which is less than one mile away! The island is easy to navigate. Book through Angeline for the best price on rentals.

Fun with family and friends

Villa Sunshine was ideal for our group visiting St. Maarten for Medical School Graduation. It was in a great central location with easy access to the festivities at the Sonesta where other family and friends were staying. The villa was well equipped and very comfortable. Our only glitch was with the check in process. We had received an email stating that check in information was included but it was not. We did not get a reply to our email until we arrived in St. Maarten and there was confusion about where we were to meet them. After about an hour and a number of phone calls, we were on our way to the villa and everything thereafter went smoothly. Rikki has assured me that he will communicate better on the front end from now on. I would definitely return to this villa.

Beautiful accomodations, friendly environment and a very accomodating host.

We began our holiday with Rikki meeting us at the car rental agency and leading us to the property. He was very friendly, answered all our questions and was available throughout our whole stay. Becky, our housekeeper was also friendly and catered to our every need. The villa is spacious and was suitable for our large group of three families (four adults, four teenagers and three children). Everyone had a wonderful time with plenty of privacy and quality family time. We could easily walk to the Sunset Bar and Airport Beach, Maho and even Mullet Bay Beach. We jogged to Cupecoy and enjoyed the ease of accessing both the French and Dutch sides of the island within minutes. There are many restaurants within walking distance of the villa. We would definitely recommend eating at the Italian restaurant (I forget the name) in Maho and sushi at Bamboo in Maho as well. The pool was clean and perfect for our families to enjoy a relaxing swim in the afternoon or even lounging during the day. The teenagers loved the paddle boards and kayaks while the children had fun with the noodles in the pool. Thank you Rikki for such a wonderful holiday. Tanya British Columbia, Canada May 2016
