"The room is outdated, our room had a small ant like bug infestation, they came and sprayed and made us stay out of the room for a few hours and the chemical smell remained all day and night. The snorkeling was amazing as well as the beach. Most of the staff was polite and helpful but there was one individual at the front desk that was always rude or at least came off that way. Dealt with this same individual 3 different times and was not a pleasant experience. Overall the property was nice but don’t think I would stay here again if I visit Maui in the future."
"Beautiful pools with plentiful loungers. Adult only pool was nice to have! Steps from a large beach. Waterfalls and garden throughout the property. Ocean view room was well worth the extra. Restaurants were good but pricey and not the best value. Wonderful market/cafe though with nice selection. Best location next door to Wharf Village with lots of shops, restaurants and ice cream shops."
"Clean room. No lobby bar - that is a fail for us. Our room safe was locked the whole trip by somebody else and could not be cleared by maintenance. The mattress was sunken and in need of replacement. It felt like the place has been overrun. The staff are friendly at check in and check out. The valet parking out front is a gong show too!"
"I liked the location. The property and the beach were great. There was one particular front desk staff member who checked us in who was not clear on some important details regarding the resort fee and use of a 75 dollar credit that came with our room. The same agent also was unhelpful when it came to having our room cleaned. There were more amenities that we could have used at the resort but the same front desk staff member did not explain anything about that either. It really was the one staff member that brought the score down for the hotel. I know it's one person but the front desk is the face of a hotel and should be better."
"View was great. Quiet and peaceful. Close to many things to do. The only downside was the water pressure is not great for showers. Also the washer and dryers are free but not in the units. They are near the elevators and shared. Each floor has their own washer and dryer."
"The location of the property was really the biggest benefit. Close to the Sheraton and Whalers Village to enjoy the shops and restaurants those larger properties had to offer while having the quiet of being on the north side of Black Rock. Accessibility to the beach was great, within walking distance, and just a short drive to Kapalua and Napili Bays. Parking was easy and staff friendly."
"This hotel is very charming and old-fashioned in the best way. The rooms are spacious and modern, but the outside look and feel of the hotel is very quaint. The extremely helpful young woman at the front desk seemed to know everything about the island and was able to answer every question we asked. We were busy while we were there, so we didn't have a chance to use the pool, but it looked clean and inviting. We did use the laundry facilities (laundry detergent is available in the vending machine). Our room had a large bathroom (sink outside of the toilet/showr room but still separated from the bedroom), refrigerator, microwave, coffee set up, and very comfortable mattresses and pillows. The property is well maintained and quiet (well, except for the chickens, but they didn't really bother us and can be heard anywhere, any time in HI). We didn't have great cell service, but I realized too late that the hotel offers free calls to anywhere in the US, which is cool. The restaurant is closed, which is a shame, because it looks like it would be fun, and we would have liked an additional dining option. We would definitely stay here again if we have the good fortune to return to Molokai!"
"Do not pay extra for 1 bedroom Oceanview. All 1 bedrooms only have partial view. Paid extra $50 each night for nothing and when notified Expedia, I did not get my money back except $100 one key cash credit."
