"Beautiful setting with excellent biodiversity. Cabin itself is dated. Given that it’s on a fish farm it’s probably great as a base for fishing but wasn’t the best cabin I’ve booked for a family trip with two small children."

"If you are looking for a good base, that's clean and friendly then look no further. Breakfast was plentiful hot and cold options enought to set you up for day. Rooms and bathroom are a little dated, but clean and bed very comfy. Would stay again."

"The staff, we found to be friendly, helpful and efficient. Room bedding and towels were clean with replacements available if required. Rooms were serviced alternate days, but also on request. Breakfasts were well presented with plenty of choices from hot, cereals, fruit, pastries etc We had dinner most evenings, which we enjoyed, with a choice of 2 or 3 courses. Also sandwiches were available if requested at lunch time in the bar."

"Another lovely stay at the Manor. Staff very welcoming. Room comfortable but be prepared for old fashioned. If you want newer and more uniform, pay a lot more at the Premier inn with its scaffolding still!! I like Exmouth's old hotels they have character and offer GVFM . We didn’t have breakfast but did have food in the bar the evening before which was excellent. Book parking ahead of your stay as it’s limited. Out the front there are public spaces, but v limited."

"We stayed for three nights in a family room for three. The room is specious and clean. We have a dog with us and Kings Arms is 100% dog friendly. We stayed in a room quite close to some cooling system which was required to keep turned on to keep the beer cold (I think) but it produced a constant mechanically nose which became very noticeable in the evening. I asked for a change of room but unfortunately there was not a double room available. As a compromise the owner arranged to turn off the...

"What a superb gem of a hotel. Location is ideal for travelling with plenty of car parking. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room had everything we needed. Breakfast was extremely good with a wide selection of continental and superbly cooked and varied hot options. Ate dinner in the restaurant and the meal was lovely. Originally booked one night travelling south and then decided to stay again a few nights later when travelling back. Will definitely be back."

"I was staying with my 88 year old Mum. We were awoken at 3am by banging and chatting from the room next door. It continued until we left at 7.30am. The room was apparently a room bring renovated with no door lock, just holes where it should be and Yellow No Entry tape. I was told the occupants needed emergency accommodation for the night. I drove 4 hours home on 3 hours sleep. I would not recommend this hotel if you would prefer to sleep through the night!"

"The location was very good. The double room booked was very small with a smaller than average double bed. Most disappointing was the very stained and dirty looking carpet. The bedding and towels were good quality and the new bathroom was nice with a good hot shower. The carpet spoiled the whole experience for me"

"Perfectly situated for both the town and the beach. Clean, comfortable room. There was great speed and efficiency at breakfast and dinner - well-staffed so no waiting. Had a quiz one evening and great musical entertainment on another."
