Honey Bear cabin is one of my most popular cabins because it is perfect for a romantic weekend for two or a gathering place for two couples or small families.
It is perfect for couples and small families because it has a romantic master bedroom with a comfy king log bed, a roomy heart shaped whirlpool tub and a stacked stone gas fireplace. There is also private bath with a shower and stack washer/dryer combo. Just off the master is a private covered porch with a large jacuzzi brand hot tub. You can sit in this private setting overlooking the woods and enjoy nature.
The loft area has another queen sized bed plus another bath and a full sized tub/shower combo. This area is where you will also find the pool table, foosball table a video arcade game and a Wii game system (you will need to bring your own Wii games).
There is a wall of windows up here overlooking the private woods. It is very pretty any time of the year but especially when the Spring flowering trees are in bloom, during the Fall when the colors are absolutely beautiful and even during the Winter when the trees are covered in snow.
The great room has a cozy gas fireplace and you can snuggle up with your special someone or the family and enjoy those cooler evenings in the Smoky Mountains.
There is a full sized kitchen with everything you need to prepare a full meal plus we have a charcoal grill on the front of the cabin where you can cook up a great steak or maybe some fresh rainbow trout you may catch in the Little Pigeon River just about 3 miles from the cabin.
Honey Bear cabin is conveniently located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. You can be in either city in 15 minutes or less. This is one of the reasons that people like the Sky Harbor area.
This cabin has secure WI FI, full cable TV with HDTV in the great room.

The setting for Honey Bear is private and wooded. You can enjoy the living room and sleeping areas without the worry of anyone looking in on you.
The roads leading to Honey Bear are paved all the way. They are typical Tennessee mountain roads. They incline, wind and twist but you will not have to worry about any cliff-hanging areas. The roads leading to this cabin are maintained by an HOA and they clear them if it snows. A 4WD is not necessary but not a bad idea to have during January and February.
This location also gives you two different ways of getting to and from to help avoid some of the seasonal heavy traffic. You can enter/exit through the Arts and Crafts community and be in East Gatlinburg in 10-15 minutes. The locals use this route to avoid traffic on the Gatlinburg Spur.
With the queen sleeper in the great room, this cabin will accommodate up to 6 people comfortably. If you need larger space or if you're traveling with another family I do have other cabins in the same area, three of which are within walking distance of Honey Bear. VRBO 292995 is just up the hill and sleeps 8. VRBO 302270 and 974630 are just a little further up the hill and still within walking distance. They will sleep 6 people each.
This cabin is professionally cleaned by the same person I have been using since 2008. The hot tub is drained, cleaned, sanitized and refilled after each guest departure.
I have local maintenance people who will take care of any issues that may arise during your stay.
