"I personally found this quirky old hotel to be pretty good. It’s historic and unusual. Beds were good. Breakfast was fine though it’s a cramped space for sitting. It’s not a great location if you want to experience the touristy marina area or walk to a good meal. But you pay a lot more for the hotels over there. My traveling companions were surprised to not have an en suite shower and I heard other guests also bothered about that."

"We loved the Harborview! My husband and I took a mini-getaway to Portland so stayed only one night. I wish we had been there longer. It was a nice, clean room with a comfortable bed, and the view was GREAT. Every staff person we encountered was lovely and helpful. I have to say, the elevators were blazing fast. Maybe that's a weird thing to notice, but it was kind of great! No waiting! We ordered room service after plans unexpectedly changed, and it was delicious. Also, the breakfast at the cafe on site was also delicious. My only complaint is that the showers are the rainfall kind, which I hate. But that's not enough for me to get bent out of shape about. Our whole stay was just great and I can't wait to go back! Oh, also, rooftop bar is great! Just closes a bit early. Still, overall the whole place gets an A+ from me."

"I stayed for two nights. The room was clean and the staff were all very nice. Parking was good, right in front of my room. They had a buffet style free breakfast which was also very good. I would recommend staying here."

"The bed was very comfortable and had lots of pillows which I love. I also loved how they offered free bottles of water, which were great after walking around the town. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was even nice to have a ride to and from the airport with no worries. Great place to stay. Will definitely stay there again."

"A lovely historic hotel in the part of town with great restaurants and tourist attractions. Only valet parking is available, and to tip the valet you need to know their name as it is on line via a QR code! Beware technological luddites. As far as the hotel is concerned, we paid (modestly) extra for a "garden view" room. Both the first room they showed us and the one we stayed in, had one small window, oriented 45 degrees to the wall that looked out the window. So, yes, technically it was garden view if you walk up all the way to the window and look askance at the garden, but not sure I would advertise those rooms as garden view. just saying...."
