"High standards throughout at this classic hotel. Very comfortable and clean room with adjoining sitting area. 2 tv’s! The only negative for me was no real ale in the bar."

"Simply Outstanding. Don't go by the over- or under-photoshopped pics. The place is extremely comfortable, well-sized, with a plush bathroom, all imaginable amenities, the nicest kitchen we have seen, and amazing views. Please don't forget to gaze at the stars at night. We stayed in the Learach room. Since this is the located the "lowest" of all cabins, it gets the least amount of afternoon / evening sun and limited views of the water from outside, but we didn't mind. "

"Stayed with family for 3 nights. We loved this place. Ample parking spaces. Restaurant and grocery stores nearby. Breakfast lounge was stocked with cereal, milk, utensils etc. Only suggestion I'd give would be to replace the cutleries twice a day instead of once. Since people do bring takeaway food and eat in the lounge during the evenings, the cutleries get used up a lot and very few is left out for when we go for breakfast in the mornings. This is probably why there were reviews that used...

"We never had an ocean view room, but our room was so cute and cozy, I felt like I was in a bedroom of a house rather than a hotel room. We loved it. Bed is super soft and cozy. We had some great sleeps. Easily walkable to the shops/food/ grocery. Would stay here again. Loved it."

"This was our best stay on our whole trip to Scotland. While, it was a little off the beaten path, it provided a quiet, cosy oasis after we had been staying in towns in lodges without parking for our car. Achmore had ample parking on site. Ida met us at our car and showed us to our room while loading more fire wood in the pot belly stove in room. It was a lovely site as we walked in! So warm and cosy.
