Cretan Dream Resort and Spa

"Overall good for what it is, however. Very family friendly, with lots of kids running around. The area is conveniently close to Chania. The breakfast is relatively good for a buffet style, and better than your basic continental. The rooms are dated and are in desperate need of a renovation. The main sticking point for me is the bathroom, it is very small, and overall not very nice. There is no shower curtain so you have to be careful of the shower head angle. Despite the bathroom being small, there also is a small kitchenette that is eating away at valuable real estate. There are 2 burners, sink, and mini fridge and some basic appliances however the burners seem kinda useless to me since there are no pots and pans. Overall good for what it is, I’d say it’s probably a 3 star hotel, I’d recommend if you get a good deal."

"An Absolutely Wonderful 5-Star Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a fantastic stay at the Samaria Hotel in Chania! The location is excellent, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The staff were incredibly helpful, welcoming, and attentive, always going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was very good, with a great selection to start the day, and everyone we met was genuinely lovely and friendly. The warm hospitality really made our stay extra special. Everything was wonderful, from the location to the service and the overall atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for more! Definitely a 5-star experience — highly recommended! We would happily stay here again. 🌟"

"Very well located hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, could have had greater variety of breads, hot dishes and juices. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside was that the aircon had been switched off all over the hotel so had to keep windows open which meant there was a lot of noise from the street. Two of the rooms had sinks outside the bathroom"

"Our room was clean and spacious with a great view to the water. Our room was cleaned every day and there was plenty of parking available. Not sure what it looks like during the busy season though. The pool was nice but the water was cold. The pool is definitely not heated! Staff was friendly. We booked all inclusive. The food was ok but not exceptional. The drink options were also limited and the knock off Coke or Pepsi products did not taste good at all. But all in all we had a good time and a nice stay!"

"This was our second visit to Atlantica Amalthia. Very nice hotel. Everywhere was very clean, our room was a good size (we had a room in the building on the beach side) with nice balcony. Nice bar and restaurant. Breakfast room was nice and good choice of food. Very well kept beach. All of the staff were first class. So friendly, polite and extremely helpful. Visited the spa and had two massages during my stay and both were very nice and relaxing. Definitely recommend. Reasonable price. Didn't use the pool as it got busy very quickly. Sunbeds were very close together and not positioned well that you could get the sun all day. Whilst I enjoy swimming in a pool, we chose to stay on the beach each day. Good location with plenty of restaurants nearby. Recommend Sebastien next door. Absolute gem of a hotel and would definitely recommend it."
