4 wonderful weeks in Santa Lucia

We enjoyed every day of our stay in this lovely and peaceful villige. The appartement is very nice and has everything you need: it has à good location, is well equipped, is well cared for and has a big terrace that offers you sunshine during most of the day. Carlos is the most kind and nice person. He has been very helpful and service minded. If you have any questions, he is just a phonecall away. We highly recommend Carlos and his appartements.

Santa Lucia

We have just spent 2 weeks at Carlos's apartment. What a wonderful experience. Carlos met us at the airport, let us do some shopping on the way and then dropped us off at his apartment. The apartment was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Santa Lucia was perfect for us. Beautiful views from our balcony, and apart from cyclists and walkers visiting daily, the town in the evening was virtually tourist free. The locals in the couple of shops and bars that we used were all friendly. The food was always good. The buses were reliable. the weather was good, and at the end Carlos took us back to the airport. First class holiday better than we ever expected and we would definitely return. Thank you Carlos

Joli appartement avec terrasse et toutes les installations nécessaires

Accueil sympathique par le propriétaire (il habite près de la mer mais la famille vit proche du lieu) qui se souciait qu'on ait une bonne connexion WiFi - l'entrée est près de l'église de Saint Lucia (50m plus haut de la GC65). La terrasse est spacieuse et donne de l'ombre - idéal pour manger; si on veut prendre un bain de soleil, alors des possibilités existent en haut de l'escalier. La GC65 est directement en dessous, donc un peu de bruit de circulation. Mais pas vraiment gênant. Comme le village est en haut des montagnes (altitude 700m) alors on doit prendre des routes qui tournent beaucoup; vraiment beaucoup! Mais des vues magnifiques. Et si on veut allez au centre pour des randonnées alors on a déjà fait une partie. Par contre, si on va à la mer, on a toujours cette rue à grimper au soir (et la nuit tombe vite). Nous avons bu l'eau du robinet sans problème. Commerces nécessaires à 5min à pied. 3-4 restaurants sur place. Bien sûr, le beau temps influence positivement notre impression de notre séjour (baignade en mer et bains de soleil en décembre ...)

Beautiful Setting beside a church in a stunning location

From start to finish one of the most relaxing holiday apartments we have stayed in . Everything was clean and comfortable .Nice big terrace to enjoy the sun (and shade) for outside living .Washing machine with 15 minute programme. The owner Carlos was very friendly and helpful and brought us a jug (for sangria ) and other utensils . The sun beds are brilliant ,tilt backwards or forwards by body weight,had lots of good naps on them !! We had a few bbqs but also ate out at Antonio’s restaurant at bottom of the street . We can recommend the fried cheese with palma honey and house salad,also the goat stew and rabbit stew ,also good wine at reasonable prices. We would definitely go back to this property

Prima appartement en voldoende voorzieningen. Goede bedden. Balkonnetje, patio en dakterras en daardoor diverse opties om in zon of schaduw te zitten. 2 kleine supermarktjes en paar restaurantjes vlakbij. Overdag wel wat verkeerslawaai. Aardige eigenaar.

Wunderschöner Urlaub

Santa Lucia: Ein stimmungsvolles Bergdorf - und für uns ein optimaler Ausgangsort für ausgedehnte Wanderungen. Versorgungsmöglichkeiten im Ort - auch Bäcker - ausreichend vorhanden, ob zur Selbstverpflegung oder in den vorhanden Restaurants. Alles fußläufig! Die Ferienwohnung hält was sie verspricht. Das Preis-Leistungsangebot ist stimmig. Wir haben nichts vermißt und der Vermieter Carlos ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Panorama ist traumhaft: Von der großen Sonnenterrasse kann man bis nach San Bartolome sehen. Wenn man sich bei der Ankunft bereits in Vecindario versorgen möchte, kann man direkt am Kreisverkehr beim "LIDL" einkaufen (einfach mal googeln). Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub! Danke Carlos! Wir würden wiederkommen!

Lovely village and excellent apartment

Apartment was just as it was described, and suited us perfectly. It was quiet and reasonably well equipped (a larger pan, a decent large chopping knife and a plastic chopping board would enhance the kitchen). We went out walking every day in the amazing mountains in the southern and central island. Carlos was a great host, absolutely no complaints. Would recommend Santa Lucia and the apartment.

Lovely clean apartment with great views.

The owner of this apartment, Carlos, is very friendly, kind and helpful. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable with everything we needed for our three night stay. From the balcony and terrace there are lovely views over the small town and the mountains beyond. Santa Lucia is a great base for exploring the island on foot or by car and is less than an hour's drive from the airport. We didn't use the car while we were there, choosing instead to go hiking on some of the fabulous trails through the mountains and countryside, and visiting the caves where troglodytes used to dwell. The town has several bar/restaurants, with mostly friendly staff, especially if you make an effort to speak a little Spanish. There are also three small supermarkets and some artisan bakeries. We will definitely return to Santa Lucia to explore further and hopefully stay in one of Carlos' apartments.

lovely place, lovely and clean cottage and friendly owner

The house is more or less in the center of the village. From the balcony you 'll have a nice view into the valley. The area has sevaral opportunities for a short ( up to 3 miles) or long distance ( up to 10 miles) walk. The house is clean and has more than enough space for two persons . TV and wifi are working well. The kitchen has everything you need and the bed is very comfortable. You are in the middle of the island. It means warm during the day and cooling downa bit at night. It is about 40 minutes for a trip to the beach. Busstop close to the house. We would certainly recommand this place to others. Carlos thanks for your hospitallity

Angenehmes Wohnen mit schöner Aussicht bei einem netten Gastgeber

Die Wohnung ist zweckmässig eingerichtet und ist trotzdem dass sie an der Durchgangsstrasse liegt relativ ruhig. Die Beschreibung der Einrichtung entsprach den Angaben im Internet. Als Ausgangslage für Wanderungen liegt sie ideal. Im Ort selber gibt es drei Restaurants die alle etwa das gleiche Angbot haben. Die Preise halten sich im Rahmen. Im Ort selber bekommt man bei mehreren Anbietern die Dinge des täglichen Bedarfs wobei die Menschen alle sehr freundlich und herzlich sind. Der Vermieter Carlos ist ebenfalls sehr nett und hat jeden Tag nach unserem Befinden gefragt.

Ein wunderschöner Monat in Carlos Appartment

Carlos ist ein sehr herzlicher Gastgeber, wir haben uns in seiner kleinen Wohnung sehr wohlgefühlt. Sie liegt sehr zentral mit herrlichem Blick auf den antiken Teil von Santa Lucia und ist auch als Ausgangspunkt zu schönen Wanderungen bestens geeignet. Für die Abende ist warme Kleidung angebracht, da die Wohnungen auf Gran Canaria keine Heizungen haben. Carlos hat uns in allen unseren Wünschen sehr hilfsbereit unterstützt, muchisimas gracias para este tiempo fantastico en tu apartamento! abrazo de nos corazones. Joachim y Hanna

Tätäääää:) Perfekt:) Reisezeit November- Dezember 2015

Tja besser geht nicht:) 24 Grad Sonnenschein kein Regen und am Kirchplatz wohnen. PERFEKT! Vermieter Carlos ist sehr hilfsbereit und ein sehr sympatischer junger Mann, der mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht. Obwohl die Wohnung direkt an der Durchgangsstraße liegt, ist gegen 22:00 Uhr Ruhe angesagt. Sämtliche Einkäufe sind fußläufig zu erreichen, da sich die Wohnung mitten im Ort befindet. Ebenso die 3 im Ort ansässigen Restaurants. Alle 3 haben eine gute Küche und sind zu empfehlen. Preise überhaupt nicht zu hoch wie manch einer im Netz behauptet, wir haben den ganzen Urlaub über auswärts ( Bäckerei in San Bartolome) gefrühstückt und abends in Santa Lucia in einem der 3 Restaurants gegessen, da wir diesmal keine Lust hatten uns selber zu verpflegen in der Wohnung und wir sind nicht arm dabei geworden, im Gegenteil, vom Urlaubsgeld war am Ende auch noch etwas über:) Allesamt sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite und nicht gestresste Einheimische. Darum werden wir nochmal dorthin reisen. Wer baden möchte sollte grundsätzlich nicht in die Bergdörfer fahren zum wohnen, da die Anfahrtswege doch ca. 40- 60 Minuten betragen. Ein großes Dankeschön an Carlos Ricarta unseren Vermieter. Bis zum nächsten Mal:) Pudo aus Köln
