Perfect location, just steps from the beach Chairs and umbrellas available, As are bikes, kayaks, paddle boards Short drive to wonderful local restaurants, And a kitchenette as well! Perfect!!!

This motel is right on the beach. The property is well maintained, clean and convenient to all that is on Sanibel Island. We have visited Sunset Beach off and on for about 25 years, ans it is consistently excellent for anyone wanting a quiet time at one of the best beaches in the USA. . . especially if you love shelling!

Had lots of sports available on property. Small size of hotel made it more personal. Equipment in good shape and enough any time we had the urge. Short bike ride to Ding Darling preserve. Excellent staff.

Great Place Right on the Beach

Our room had a partial gulf view and was extremely clean and spacious. We did have an issue with the A/C and Enoc, at the front desk, had it immediately repaired. Both Enoc and Anvar were super friendly and efficient and took care of our every need to have a pleasant stay. We will be back.

Perfect location

Beautiful location with private beach and pool. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Our room had ocean view and could see the sunrise and the beach was perfect for sunsets and shelling. Rooms could use some updating and room renovations were underway. Overall, comfortable and clean. Daily free breakfasts had a variety of options to choose from including non- dairy milks and healthier options.

Friendly, Peaceful, Beautiful!

Our 6th trip to Sanibel, first time in Sunset Beach Inn, very comfortable and peaceful! Great view of the lovely pool and the ocean from our 2nd story room. Room was large and open, kitchenette basic & just all we needed. King bed comfortable. Lots of friendly assistance from the Innkeeper, Anvar Ruziev, and Leslie. Parking a bit challenging as just barely enough spaces for all guests, but we managed, thanks to the turnaround space right at the end by the beach. Location mid-island was convenient to restaurants and shops.

We’ve stayed at all 3 sanibel inn sister hotels (sanibel inn, song of the sea, sunset beach) loved all of them but sunset beach inn but nice and quiet and a little more private. Rooms were clean and cozy. Located right on the beach! Beautiful view of the ocean. Pool was big and always perfect temp. Maids were AMAZING— they literally did our dishes one day during normal housekeeping. Breakfast was simple grab n go stuff like pastries and cereal. Rode bikes several nights and even saw a wild gator. It was a great baby moon!

The room where we stayed was great, clean and roomy. Great access to the beach, the pool and paddle boards were great. They have breakfast which is included and that's a plus. The staff was great. The housekeeping maids were a bit hard to communicate with since some didnt speak english and it worked out. The only thing i would like to see is some effort to recycle. I know a lot of businesses dont recycle but it's ironic they dont when the beach is next to them. Otherwise, this is a great place ;)

We stayed 4 days and 3 nights yes the place is run down needs improvements i can deal with that....i cant deal with a/c not working properly warm in room the entire stay told front desk maintenance came said it was fine. We slept on top of the covers in just t shirts it was warm in room, rust in fridge, housekeeping was great with service and towels ready. Even after multiple complaints about a/c nothing was done beds weren't the greatest either. I always come back to sanibel every year for the last 4 years stay somewhere different every time i dont recommend this place.

Reserved a king bed. We were given a room with 2 queens after complaining we were given a king. There was NO internet service during our stay. First told that lightening had hit the antenna then a bird flew into the receiver... At checkout the staff could NOT print a receipt nor even tell me the total charge. 3 days later still no receipt in our e-mail. That being said we had an enjoyable stay. Short walk to the beach. Enjoyed the pool. Would have appreciated more information about things to do on the island.

Location was very good. The only issue was with the AC in one room it was set at 60 and was still blowing warmer than the unit in the living room. The front was very attentive and sent a repair person. He showed up when we were not there and told one of my kids "It is a new unit, and is working as expected" then left. The unit ABSOLUTELY was not new! The front desk people gabe us 2 fans for the room for our last night there. They helpwd some.

The property is super old and dirty. Old furniture, smelly sheets. The staff is nice, but they run the place like is a cheap motel. The parking lot is a disaster, not marked at all and not enough spaces for everyone. The lounge chairs are all old and stained, the bikes are all banged up and there were only 4 kayaks. Not going to even talk about the breakfast, because 1 hour after it started it was always all gone! This was definitely not worth the $250 we paid for the room. I’m not going back there ever, and definitely not going to recommend it!
