10 stars for The Orchard Inn!

I would give them 10 stars if I could! LOCATION The inn is located in charming Saluda close to the downtown shops and only 10 minutes from Hendersonville. Easy to get to from the highway INN The inn itself is gorgeous! Walking towards the inn on the beautifully landscaped walkway lands you on a large farmhouse porch with swings and plenty of sitting areas just awaiting a cool mountain breeze to wisp by you. The inn has a beautiful, grand fireplace and several sitting areas, including a library where many guests were enjoying relaxing. Downstairs felt like its own little pub area with TV watching area and pool table, which we used. The well behaved boxer, Clayton, meets you at the door and followed us to our car to "help" us unload. Very sweet and friendly pup! Very cozy and homey vibe! THE ROOM Farmhouse feel and bed was 10/10 on comfort. It was GREAT sleep and so cozy. Bathroom was a little small but large pedestal sink allowed for plenty of room for toiletries, makeup, etc. DINING The ambiance and dining experience made our experience very magical. Breakfast was superb - fruit yogurt, danishes, eggs, sausage, and yummy sunflower toast. We sat out on the porch veranda and I cannot begin to describe how glorious it was. Trickling water sounds, wide mountain views, and cozy dining table. SERVICE Everyone is so friendly and hospitable. Adam gave us a tour of the inn and was so nice and charming. Overall, wonderful experience! Make sure to check out the birds!

The Orchard Inn was a perfect mountain getaway! Our room was clean, comfortable, and decorated in the vintage style of the inn. But the best part was the fabulous breakfast with the beautiful mountain view on the covered porch! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We’d love to come back to have dinner at Newman’s which we missed because of the time we visited. Highly recommend this wonderful inn!

Great setting in mountains, close to Saluda. Classic old facility in great shape with friendly and efficient service. The breakfast was really good. Unfortunately Newmans restaurant was closed during our stay, but will return when it is open. We enjoyed our visit

Gorgeous views, food was amazing, and staff was wonderful and so welcoming! It would have been nice to have a tv and mini fridge in the room, but no biggie. I felt like it was a bit pricey but way nicer than other nearby options.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast was great. I wish that our schedule had allowed us to eat dinner there. I would love to go again.

Just driving up to the Orchard Inn took my breath away. It's a beautiful, Victorian building in a mountain forest. When we walked inside we were immediately struck by the view across the room -- an enclosed veranda that overlooks amazing flowers and very busy birdfeeders with a stunning valley view beyond. The staff is wonderful and they truly make you feel at home. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. I took advantage of the invitation to join the owner on a morning walk with their dogs, Murray and Clayton, on their mountain trail. It was lovely. Breakfast is delicious, prepared fresh and plentiful. I couldn't help feeling that we were guests in their home instead of customers of their business. The Inn is centrally located to many activities in that region including hiking, adventure tours, wineries, quaint restaurants and shops and more. I can't wait to go back.

Charming Get Away

I've stayed at The Orchard Inn many times. The service and rooms, as well as the food, keeps me returning year after year. I've always felt welcome and somewhat pampered when I'm staying in Saluda. The breakfast is incredible so I'm sure the dinners they offer, must be as well. You can't really do much better than The Orchard Inn.

Love it!

This was our fifth stay at the Orchard Inn. The current innkeepers are by far the best of the 3 we have experienced. They and their staff are extremely accommodating. Their dinners and breakfasts are excellent.

Very quaint, comfortable and conveniently located

Within a quick 20 minute highway drive to Tryon International Equestrian Center. Excellent staff who go above and beyond to take care of your every need - even when I was running late one morning, they boxed up a danish and delivered fresh coffee from the kitchen so I could quickly get on the road. Rooms are very clean and appointed with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Also nice to have private bathrooms in a B&B which isn't always offered. Views from the bedrooms and dining rooms are absolutely spectacular! Would love to come back again and spend more time exploring the trails and the area of Saluda - a charming small town. Thank you Orchard Inn hosts!

Beautiful view, wonderful attentive staff, and excellent food! The front porch was a lovely place to sit and enjoy the weather and the quietness. The only complaint I have is that smoking is allowed on the porch. After a lovely dinner at the Inn my husband and I were enjoying time on the front porch but had to go in because of a chain smoker. She was always smoking. Other guests also went inside due to the constant cigarette smoke. I did ask the staff about their smoking policy and was told that guests could not smoke inside but they could not tell people they could not smoke outside on the porch. Sad ..... I hope the owners will reconsider their smoking policy.

Charming B&B

We've stayed here previously, driving only about 25 minutes from our home to arrive yet it's as if we've gone many more miles for the peace and quiet we experience whenever we stay at The Orchard Inn. The large Inn, which has a few rooms and where the dining is located, is beautiful and very comfortable.The individual cabins provide even more privacy....the food is fabulous and so are the hosts!
