"What can I say about this place, except to warn everyone to stay away! There are tons of other places nearby that you can stay at and never regret your stay. An old building, super dirty room and hallways, 2 very very old elevators (occasional wait time up to 10 mins) and unbelievably bored/angry/checked-out staff especially at the check-in counter. I was in Savannah for a conference and the first two days, I got to stay at homewoods suites which was superb compared to this place! Seriously, stay away and don't ruin your vacation! Pool is on the second floor, not heated and very dirty (in my first hotel, the heated pool was on the top floor fully served). Also, there is NO hot breakfast cooked to order; you will get coupons for buffet which has literally nothing better that typical american breakfast places you can book for a third of the price! My very honest opinion."

"There was no staff on the property from 10 p.m. at night until 10 AM in the morning. That was a problem, especially when our smoke alarm battery must have gone dead so our smoke alarm beeped all night the last night We were there and then continued to tell us that the battery need to be replaced, but there was no one we could contact. the bathrooms are just OK. The restaurant is fantastic and the front desk person Chris was fabulous. They could use a little cleanup around the property as the sidewalks were in in need of some cleanup. Also, it was very noisy on the street and we could not open the windows at all for any fresh air. The air condition was so loud that it kept us awake and we had to turn it off."

"Great location walkable a block from river street and Ellis Square. Staff was great property is nice only caveat was one elevator was under maintenance the whole stay. Other than that we enjoyed the complementary drinks as part of the rewards program."

"I love the idea of this place. It’s nostalgic, cute, and in a great location, but it could definitely use a remodel. It’s basically a painted motel, and the bathroom in our room was very small. There were also obvious signs of past leaks in the room we stayed in. One thing to note: I didn’t see anything mentioning that parking needed to be reserved ahead of time, so we ended up parking on the street each night. It wasn’t a huge issue, but definitely something future guests should know — reserve parking in advance if possible. The breakfast was simple — donuts, coffee, and juice — but the donuts were delicious! They also leave MoonPies and RC Colas in each room for guests, which was a fun and cute touch. Overall, the place has some charming little perks, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. I didn’t have much interaction with the staff, so I can’t really comment on the service."
