Please note that no refunds will be issued for wildlife-related issues in accordance with our rental policy. Feel free to reach out to us for exterminator services if needed during your stay.
• Lakefront with Seasonal Water Levels: The property is lakefront, but water levels fluctuate throughout the year. The distance to the lake may vary, especially in drier months. Water levels typically recede between mid-September and May.
• Lawn Maintenance: Lawn care may be performed periodically from now until September. The landscaper will only work outside, and no one needs to be present.
• Shampoo Not Provided: Please bring your own toiletries, as shampoo is not provided.
• Charcoal Grill: A charcoal grill is available for guest use. Please bring your own charcoal, as it is not provided on-site.
• Wi-Fi Access: Free Wi-Fi is available, but please note that speeds may be slower due to the rural location.
• Lawn Maintenance: Lawn mowing occurs every Wednesday during the summer months.
• Food & Drink Policy: To maintain cleanliness, please refrain from eating or drinking in the bedrooms.

This house sits on a large piece of property so it is quiet and private. There was lots of room for kids to play and the fire pit was the most fun. Sitting on the porch swing watching sunrise and set over the lake was just beautiful. The bunk beds were greatly appreciated.

The property is in a great, quiet location. The house is older and has some "lived in" aspects (leftover food/spices in the cabinets, closet with small appliances - broken coffee pot). We slept comfortably and enjoyed our time on the back patio. The dock is pictured in the water and should have been released more and not cranked up on the shore. The other 5 docks in the cove are still in the water. I've lived here and visited Cherokee my whole life. The water starts dropping in August but the dock should have been in the water until Labor Day. Someone failed to release it as the water began dropping.
Dock pulled onto the shore - should have been released into the water more. Google Maps shows it in the water further. It has been pulled up and not released as the water drops.

Dirty and Cold

Needed to be clean throughly, dust and cobwebs all over the place. had to set the thermostat at a real high temperature to keep the downstairs warm. Shower downstairs is extremely small and hard to get in and out of even for healthy and active person. Step up to the shower is wlll above 15 inches with no handle to hold on to.

Cute cabin on Lake, but

8/10 Overall, the cabin was pretty good! It had most of what you needed like laundry detergent, different types of cooking utensils, and the shower heads were new-ish with good water pressure. However, there was one big drawback - spiderwebs. Normally in a wooded area spiderwebs are expected, but the large cobweb I found in one of the bedroom windowsills was massive and clearly had not been cleaned in 1+ months.  In my opinion, this is unacceptable since we are charged a cleaning fee and the place is presumably supposed to be professionally cleaned. Also, based on the instruction pamphlet emailed to us, this VRBO may be owned by a larger company just FYI, as this may aid in the breakdown of the cleanliness referenced in these reviews.

Lake Cherokee Tournament 2024

We had a good time. Loved house. Out of 3 coffee makers we got one to work. Thank goodness. Loved having a W/d to use. Grill outside was dirty so we used tin foil and cooked on it. Shutdown instructions were kinda off. There is no downstairs thermostat so cut off upstairs as instructions said. Didn’t get to fish due to an accident on waters before tournament began and investigation had to be done. But overall we loved the stay. The Hearns

Spacious Cabin with Incredible view of Cherokee Lake

My son found this cabin for us to stay in and I booked it without checking the reviews. Apprehensive after reading reviews that mentioned the lack of cleanliness in the cabin. Was not sure if we were going to have to clean once we arrived. The cabin was in good condition, except for the cobwebs that were on the walls inside and outside. Dust and cobwebs were even on the thermostat. Before my son, daughter-in-law and my four young grandchildren arrived, I took a broom and removed the cobwebs that were obvious. We were on the front porch at one point and the door frame and walls were covered with cobwebs. The cleaning company does not vacuum under the couches or beds, so do not look there. I personally would change the cleaning company since the lack of cleanliness of this house can have an impact on the potential income going forward. If my son had not found this house, and I had read the reviews before booking, I would not have stayed here. Since there was more than one review with guests mentioning the lack of cleanliness, I would book this house with caution. I have to say the bathrooms were clean. Kitchen was clean and had plenty of utensils. Plenty of bath towels. The outside property is well kept going down to the lake. The fire pit was helpful when we cooked dinner.

Another Great Stay

This is the 4th time we have stayed here. The home was perfect for what we needed it for. We are a family of 6, and there was plenty of room. Just a short walk down to the lake. We spent more time on the lake this year and not as much time in Pigeon Forge. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet get away on a big/clean lake.

Nice vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay! The lot, firepit, and neighborhood were spectacular, and the house was comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials, and the appliances worked well (except for the coffee maker). The onsite washer/dryer were very convenient. We did experience a few minor issues during our stay. Some of these things were out of your control, but we wanted to make you aware of them. 1. We put the trash out on Monday, and it never did get picked up before we left on Saturday. 2. The lawn service never came to mow the lawn on Wednesday. 3. The white coffee maker needs to be descaled or replaced, as it took over 2.5 hours to brew a pot of coffee. 4. The downstairs toilet isn't securely bolted to the floor, and it kept shifting. 5. The downstairs shower worked fine, but it was a very awkward step up to get in/out of the shower. This will likely be a concern for guests with mobility issues. Thank you for sharing your home with us! Please let us know if you ever plan to sell the house.

Fisherman Approved…

Was there to fish a bass tournament and the house fulfilled our needs… it was a little bit tough having to back the boat down the driveway to keep off of the grass, but that is common with lots of properties and the property was flat! So we could the boat parked without issue. And one of the guys did catch a few fish off of the dock while we were there! The neighborhood is quiet and had no traffic. I would stay there again for sure!

Cozy cabin

Everything about the cabin was perfect for our stay except the cleanliness. The cabin was very dusty from the blinds and dead bugs in the window seals. I could tell the floor had not been mopped bc of spots on them. And sticky spots on the end tables. I would say it was cleaned enough to be presentable but could use a deep clean for sure. The location of the cabin was great, around the corner from the boat ramp we used and not far from Jefferson City or Morristown.

Company Fishing Trip

Great place to stay for Men the reviews about cob webs and need of good cleaning are true This place needs a good deep cleaning. Women folk won't be impressed (maybe some men to) We had a great time besides that, it truly is a beautiful place to stay. I would bring my family back if I knew it was cleaner. Thanks again.

Family Christmas staycation

Liked the cottage very much. It met all our needs for a family of 5. Only minor complaint was cleanliness. Cobwebs all over, floors werent swept under couch or beds. Just stuff like that, but nothing that bothered us too much. Also, ceiling leaks around fireplace chimney when it was raining. Soaked up what we could with towels. And the furnace wooded closet door was off its track and just leaning against furnace when we got there. But over all, great place. Great views of the lake as well. Would definitely stay again.

Fishing Trip

we stayed 2 nights and everything was as advertised. home was clean and everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided. If you bring a boat you must either back in or back out of driveway there isn't anywhere to turn around. overall a good stay.

Wonderful place to stay. However, “Stunning” is a stretch. Drastically overpriced. If you’re at the lake for a bass tournament and have others with you, you can park two boats. Make sure you have a 100’ extension cord to reach around the house to the front door. The driveway needs to be wider for easier access to back a boat into the driveway including a load of rock for a wider area near the house. Inside the house is nice. Our only two issues were the master bedroom mattress is cheap or shot. Felt like we were sleeping in a hammock. The master bedroom shower was the worst spot of the entire property. It’s extremely small. If you’re larger than 6’ 220lbs good luck. And be very careful stepping out of it because it’s elevated about a foot. Overall it’s a great place. I’d probably stay there again. It’s just way overpriced and needs a couple tweaks.

Overall good experience

Nice place…beautiful view. Bedrooms/bathrooms looked recently remodeled. Kitchen needs some work…cabinets had plastic containers just thrown in them and were messy. In my opinion, spices, any food (breading) left over containers from others should be thrown out. Didn’t use the cabinets. Overall we enjoyed our stay b

Our visit was fantastic! My inlaws were able to enjoy the 1st floor bedroom while the rest of us took over the upstairs. Plenty of room in the bedrooms. The only issue was in the downstairs shower. The step out was a tad bigger than expected for them & there wasn't a handle, which made it a bit difficult. They are in their late 70s/early 80s so they don't bend like they used to. 😀 The porch, swing & view was Awesome! Very peaceful! The hill to the water is a good workout coming back up but it didn't slow us down. We were able to enjoy some swimming & fishing off the fabulous dock. The kids absolutely loved jumping off the dock! We didn't get an opportunity to use the beautiful fire pit area but maybe next time. We will definitely try to come back!! Thank you for the wonderful memories we made!!
