"Beautiful hotel on university grounds a stone throw away from the Royal Mile with great bus connections. Staff were really polite and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived to when we left. Our room was spacious but cozy, with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend."

"Quaint stone house converted in to a 10 room hotel. These are quite common in Edinburgh, and there are quite a few of them in the same area. Recently renovated and clean. The other guests were all quite which was nice. A short distance from the action of the Royal Mile, about 10 min by buses that run ever few minutes. WiFi was very slow, but other then that it was a great place to stay and I would stay here again."

"Lovely guesthouse in a quiet upscale area of Portabello. 15 min walk to the sea and shops. 10 min bus to the Edinburgh Center 2,20 for the bus. We ubered it at night 9,80. We had a 1dbl/1sgl room 3 adults. Small but cozy. Free parking on site depending on bookings. "

"Loved staying at Abbey Strand! Very historic building but with all modern conveniences. Quiet part of Royal Mile away from noise & traffic but easy walk to anywhere. No air conditioning but temps are generally cooler. Definitely recommend a stay when in Edinburgh."
