Our room was very clean and we had a cathedral view. The manager was very helpful to us. She was able to check us in early and offered helpful advice. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel cardinal is all about the location. We had amazing views of the cathedral which was particularly interesting during the evening light show when we returned. The room and bathroom were very clean but would benefit from some storage. We had a great breakfast in the breakfast room downstairs which was spacious and comfortable.

Nice small room right across the street from the cathedral. Clean and comfortable property with the smallest elevator I have ever seen. Hard to get to because of the pedestrian zone but parking is reasonably close. Great restaurant downstairs.

The location was the best, however it was very, VERY difficult to get there. We had to park in an underground parking lot many blocks away and roll our luggage over busy cobblestone streets to arrive at this hotel. As a very, VERY senior traveller I would have appreciated a heads up. Everything we needed in the hotel was fine and getting around the pedestrian only historical sights in the main old town was easy and best of all it had a very tiny elevator.

Room was ready and clean when we arrived. We had a great corner room 2 floors above the Paul brasserie and across from the cathedral. The staff was helpful and pleasent. Tip: For parking, they suggested the paid parking lots, but we found cheaper by finding street parking where it is free on Sundays and is only enforced from 9 am to 7 pm Monday-Saturday. We arrived on Sunday and left at 10 am on a Monday, so we only had to pay for one hour for a couple of euros. The lots, on the other hand, are much more expensive: 1 hour: €3.40, 2 hours: €5.70, 3 hours: €6.90, 24 hours: €16.90 Tip: We were told many restaurants in the center of town were closed on Sundays, but the Paul brasserie downstairs was open late, reasonably priced and served good food.

Great balcony corner views from our Room #10. The Christmas market had started the day we arrived and it snowed that night (in late November). Complete with the imposing sight of the Notre Dame Cathedral, it was a near perfect stay in Rouen.
