The hotel was nice and the proximity to metro station made it easy to get around Rome. Bed was comfortable. We visited in September and the restaurant was closed both days we wanted to stay in due to “off season”.

The hotel itself was very nice and clean, and the breakfast was wonderful with a large selection of food and drinks. Unfortunately, the location was not ideal. Aside from being near the Colosseum, it was quite a distance from most historic sites and restaurants. As a result, we had to plan for transportation, especially when going out in the evening.

The Cross was ideal for a two night solo business trip to Rome. I had a clean, good sized room with a balcony and the breakfast was perfectly good. The pool is tiny but the surrounding bar area is a nice, relaxing spot in the evening. Manzone metro station is about a five minute walk away and, if on holiday, you can reach the Coloseum in about 25 min on foot. Would definitely stay there again, especially at the rate I paid on Expedia!

Staff was attentive and helpful. Not enough towels, Two guest and only 4 hangers, had to ask for 2 more. First time I didn’t pack my own shampoo and they didn’t have any (just body soap combines hair-wash). I walked out to see the front desk and couldn’t get back into my unit (locked out) due to keeping things secure. I had to wake up my roommate to go open the door to our unit.
