"this is such a beautiful space with kind and courteous staff. The resort is so serene and beautiful, and rich with wild costa rican nature. Just the occasional inconsistencies with the cleanliness of the floors, and odors in the room, that could be resolved with more attention to cleaning and by providing air fresheners - that was my only critique. As the resort is often fully booked because it's truly a gem."

"The property is a mini animal sanctuary, with many agouti running around and sloths hanging in the trees. Many birds and frogs and even a kinkajou, although hard to spot. The hosts are very nice and helpful, Marise will make sure you and comfortable and Pierre will tell you all about the wildlife. The room is clean and comfortable, although there is no AC, so keep that in mind. It is walkable to Cahuita although a couple more min out of the way than some of the other hotels, wasn’t a problem to...

"Nice hotel with good breakfast. The staff was friendly. Good parking possibilities. The only negative was that they did not serve any food (except breakfast) and that the roof made a lot of noise when it was raining (there are some kind of plastic protection on the roof of the room which make the rain sound a lot, hard to sleep without earplugs). "

"This place was amazing and exactly what we wanted. Quiet, right across from the beach and fairly priced! The food was great from the breakfast buffet to dinner as well as dessert! Every single person we encountered was friendly and helpful! We will definitely stay here again if we visit the area!"

"Beautiful and secluded! Upscale tropical feels with ocean views! The staff was amazing and shout out to Dinnier for personally showing us the local wildlife including sloths and monkeys while we had an amazing dinner by the ocean. Breakfast was great too! Loved it! "

"Great lodges, with great beds and clean. Loved the screen concept so you can hear nature (birds, howling monkeys) without the bugs (not really a lot around). The restaurant was also great with friendly staff, good breakfast and dinner the cook always had the meat and fish perfect! Would certainly come again!"

"It’s a family run business and the owner was super nice and helpful , the property was peaceful , the only noise was the wild animals on the property like howler monkeys and lots of exotic bird species , the owner prepared a papaya from the tree right in front of our room , it was delicious. I would recommend this property for people that want a truly Costa Rican experience without all the crowds of the towns . Loved our stay at Casa Conley 10 out of 10 , can’t wait to visit again ✌"

"We enjoyed our very short stay at La Bonita Lodge. Unfortunately the airline lost our luggage so we spent most of our day in San Jose buying clothes before heading down to Puerto Viejo. We arrived late but had a nice dinner at Banana Azul and then were able to use the easy to follow directions to gain access to the property and our room. The room was spotless and welcoming. We weren't able to park our car in the lot as it was full but after contacting the host we were told it was fine to park on...
