We received a friendly welcome on arrival and were checked in quickly. My partner's mother experienced difficulties negotiating the slope at the main entrance, because the wheels of her walker kept getting caught in the gaps between the cobbles/paving. Parking was at a premium as there was a function there the same eving. So I 6Our room, 90 was fine for our overnight stay, and clean with comfortable beds. Well equipped with iron, ironing board and hairdryer. With a rainfall shower, I thought a disposable shower cap might be provided but there was none. Also the soap dispenser at the sink didn't pump. Breakfast was good with plentiful choice, including soya milk. Scrambled eggs were cooked to order and were ok, although looked a little grey.

Ample and easy parking, great location, hotel is very well established with excellent staff. Every member of staff I met each time be it at the reception or in the corridors has been extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable albeit some timely refurbishment is visibly required in some places. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay each time.

We arrived at 6pm and were surprised to see all the changed bedding still outside all the bedrooms. Ordered some food which was very disappointing. However, breakfast the next morning was lovely. Staff were really friendly but hotel is looking tired unfortunately.

Room and bathroom were clean. Car Park had plenty of spaces and felt safe and secure. The breakfast was really good in both the range on offer and the staff. Tom on reception gave us a friendly welcome and gave great customer service, so rare these days.

We were visiting our son who lived a 5 min drive away. It was really only somewhere for us to sleep wash and have breakfast. The hotel was ideal for us. People were very friendly and breakfast was lovely.

The hotel is a little old and could do with a refurb BUT the staff were friendly, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was very quiet which for me are the four most important things in a hotel stay!
