"Very good hotel. Clean, spacious, and situated on the beach front. Room was clean, fresh and has amazing views out over the beach and sea. Breakfast is good quality and the despite the roof top pool being small their were enough beds around it (September) i'd imagine in the summer its quite busy up there. The general area around the hotel is ok, few shops for drinks, snacks etc but you will have to walk or travel out for decent food if it is not included. McDonalds and Burger King is around a 20...

"This was my third stay at Cesar Lanzarote in three years, and this stay, likes the others, did not disappoint. The hotel is in such a lovely quite setting, and all of the guests have plenty of space to do what they would like to do, despite the hotel itself not having that may rooms. All of the staff are charming, and it is so nice that some of them remembered me from last year, including the general manager, who was so warm and welcoming. I will definitely be back."

Kitchen fridge / freezer works well and is quite large.Nice hot water from electric water heater.Plenty of wardrobe storage space in each room.Pool cleaned and attended to.Plenty of bath and hand towels changed frequently.Cons (all our own opinions)The outlook is to the back of the Costa Calero hotel when your sat at the outside table. No real sea view.Unfinished Building works and a rubbish tip directly in front of you which you can over look from your outside seating area. Not mentioned in villa description.For the money paid for this villa, you’d expect better quality furnishings. No cushions in lounge. One pool umbrella even though I specifically emailed and asked prior to arriving. I was assured there is plenty for three people. The villa is very dull and gloomy inside generally.No nonslip bath mat provided when stood in the en-suite bath having a shower. Older folks beware. Some of the glasses in the kitchen were stained.Could do with a trip to Ikea and replace missing cups, saucers, dishes. Very sparse.No WiFi signal in the rear bedrooms of the villa. No natural daylight or ventilation in the shared bathroom. Nothing in the villa, no coffee, tea, salt, vinegar, dishcloths, clothes pegs ! We had to buy everything."

"Wow to everything. Tranquil without feeling isolated, the view is food for your soul; and the food itself is also good for your soul because the staff are so welcoming and considerate at breakfast. Fresh squeezed orange juice every morning, and then the difficult decision to either lay by the pool or walk a leisurely minute to the cool ocean inlet below. Amazing people and amazing place."

"Puerto Calero is a quiet resort which has grown up around the marina with a good selection of restaurants serving a variety of quisine ranging from Italian and Indian to traditional Canarian. Casa Carlota is beautiful villa in a quiet residential part of the resort and yet is only a 10 minute walk to the marina and restaurants/bars. The villa is extremely well appointed with a bright and airy lounge and well equipped kitchen there's everything you need for a relaxing stay. The villa sits on a large plot with secure, off-road parking accessed via an electric gate.Self check in was easy and straightforward with the keys collected from a keysafe on the outside wall. We stayed as a couple but with three bedrooms and four bathrooms, the spacious accomodation and generously sized bedrooms would easily sleep six. The downstairs games room with pool table and air hockey table would be great to occupy the kids. The large outside area with pool area is private and not overlooked. There are plenty of sun loungers although it would benefit from some sun umbrellas to give a bit of shade but that didn't detract from our enjoyment. There is a barbeque and outside kitchen for al-fresco dining and a futher dining table on the verandah with sea views accross to Fuertaventura. We ate lunch on the verandah most days.If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing break Puerto Calero is the place to go and we would highly recommend booking Casa Carlota for your next holiday."
