"I did not realise that we were staying in a plantation village, with multiple accommodation. I had made a request for two beds and, as it was a slow time of year, we got two bedrooms. Pahala is a very cute town (and currently the only one with a grocery store as the one in Naalehu was no longer as at 28 Jan 25). The people were also really friendly. "This spot was awesome! The neighborhood didn’t have a great reputation with the locals but we honestly had no problems at all staying on this part of the island. The hosts were wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed and even offered lots of really great recommendations for things to do while we were there. There isn’t a lot in the way of shops nearby, but they do have the essentials– a quick mart, gas, and even a pizza place. Very quiet and the stars at night are unmatched. The yurt...

"This place is tropical magic and serene surroundings. Equipped kitchen and some condiments on shelf. French press coffee. Scenic views and utterly fantastic night sounds! Full compliment of dishes and there was an outside bbq.. washer and dryer great and we hung towels outdoors. The entrance from Hwy 11 to property is a bit tricky but one catches on quickly. "This is our second time to stay here. We loved it, and came back because it was so quiet and comfortable, and such a beautiful place and view. The yurts are well equipped and clean. The elevation makes for comfortable cool, but not cold, nights. The central sky light is spectacular at night with so many stars. It is calm and quiet and beautiful with various flowers. "Ivy's home is beautiful and very private! It was rooming and perfect for our family of 7. Everything is new and extremely clean, organized, with all the needed amenities and more. There is an ocean view private golf course in walking distance that will give guests passes and also has a clubhouse for meals, drinks, music, which we took advantage of. Ivy was very easy to communicate with and gave us great suggestions/recommendations. An added perk was renting their Ford Expedition! I hope to...
