"The apartment was nicely renovated and had air conditioning. The apartment blocks are split over two areas, so didn’t really get the holiday feel quite as much. The pool area is quite compact and whilst we never had an issue getting a sunbed they were all very close together and not very comfortable. The pool was also built up all around it with no real breeze so felt very enclosed and quite hot. The staff were all super friendly and happy to help with anything. Sadly our apartment number 63...

"Average. Whilst we appreciated the room upgrade due to a leaking toilet in the original room, everything else was just average. The phone was broken, as was the fridge, after the toilet episode in the first room, I just couldn't be bothered to speak to reception again as they weren't particularly friendly. The room was not clean. The back pool was generally nice and quiet. I felt like a burden when I spoke to any of the staff that I tried to keep interactions to a minimum, this is a shame when...

"This property is OK. Rooms very basic. Just some hangers on a pole for a wardrobe. Bedsheets from 1980s. A charge of €6 per day for an air con remote. (€10 deposit for the remote) A charge for a tv remote A charge for a mat to go on your basic sun bed. 0 amenities in the bathroom - hand wash/shower gel etc. Towels are threadbare and very old. Pool area was decent. Just everything else very entry-level. Should be a 2* really. A place to lay your head but do not expect much. Location...

"Reception staff, particularly Belen who helped when I was sure I'd left my cell phone in a taxi having looked everywhere in my room including my bag. She contacted the taxi firm and in the meantime suggested I return to my room and she called the phone again. Sure enough the phone was in my bag but wedged under something else. Unfortunately later I did leave my camera in a taxi and she is working with them so that if found I can arrange its retrieval."

Food was plentiful and a good selection, the pool was fantastic and spotlessly clean and if you like the beach it's just a short walk from the hotel . Rooms were large and really comfortable, so we will definitely book again for next year .thank you floresta..."

"Apartment was very dated, the sofa was absolutely disgusting it was supposed to be brown in colour but because it was used so often it was turning black, I had to put two large blankets over it to act as throws so I could sit on it, the cleaning of the apartment was a joke, sorry, I will not going back"

"Just home from a six night stay in Plaza Azul with a family group of ten adults. Apartments are a bit dated but very clean. Room was cleaned daily. The complex is very central, just a short walk up from the seafront. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only gripe I would have is that the pool needs to be heated. It was too cold to swim in. Otherwise I would recommend this complex and I would have no hesitation in booking it again."

"Two words describe Apartamentos Villa Canaima "Absolutely Fabulous". The apartment and grounds were spotlessly clean. The reception staff were courteous and helpful. The cleaning staff were friendly and efficient. The barman in the poolside bar was great and the food and drink was very reasonably priced. The location of the apartments was ideal, away from the hustle and bustle but within a short walk of plenty of shops and restaurants. The only negative I could mention is that the kitchen hob...
