Inn was in good condition, owner of the hotel recommended different attractions to see in the area. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel had a nice atmosphere.
Charming host and inn. We loved our ocean view and falling asleep to the sound of waves. The property is so well set up and the host was very knowledgeable and helpful with tips for enjoying the area.
The host was very informative, friendly, and humorous. The room was cute, clean, and comfortable in a beautiful and quaint setting. Breakfast was tasty and enjoyable in a very relaxing environment.
This is a beautiful and well kept bed and breakfast with wonderful hosts. It’s perfect if you are looking to get away from the commercialization of Bar Harbor. The property beach and trail are wonderful. The host has intimate knowledge of the area.
Unique historic in with numerous buildings with 100 acre property and sandy beach on property. Ben the owner greeted us and described all the interesting features on the property. He also cooks an outstanding breakfast before to set out to tour all the areas within a short drive. Highly recommended you stay here.
The people at Acadia were simply the best. Kind, courteous and helpful are the top 3 words that come to mind, but there are many others that could be used to describe the excellent service. The inn is situated at the head of a small bay and the beach and rocks are a pleasure to walk or just sit and enjoy he view. We highly recommend the his quiet, quaint and quality place to visit.
We love staying at older B&Bs. We stayed in the 1820s part of the building. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable. Views of and proximity to the ocean are fantastic! We ate seven breakfasts there and all were wonderful. Ben puts a new twist on common food that makes it unique and a pleasure to eat.
Loved everything about my stay there, very clean and elegant place. ocean view in my room, falling asleep to the sound of waves. Lovely breakfast, amazing host. 100% recommended

We arrived after dark and were a bit skeptical of the place but once we met with Dan, we were glad we chose the place. Our room was neat and cozy with an excellent view of the ocean and the sound of waves splashing against the shore. Dan made us a special vegetarian breakfast both days which was excellent. He really cares about his guests and goes out of his way to make them feel special😊
This was a beautiful seaside Inn. The staff was phenomenal. The owner. Ben was extremely charming and educational made us feel extremely welcome and as if we were part of the family, the grounds are beautiful. The view of the sea is gorgeous. They prepared a delicious home-cooked breakfast that included fresh blueberry pancakes, eggs and juice all served in a beautiful dining room overlooking the water if you’re ever in the area this is the place to stay my husband and I will definitely be back and enjoy this beautiful inn.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view of the ocean. We didn’t wake up early enough to look for moose but did see the deer when we arrived. Away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor.

Very close to the ocean and beach which was acrooss the street.
Ben does a phenomenal job running this bed and breakfast. Not only did he give us ample ideas of local attractions like trails, the winery, and the bell forge, but also he even maintains 2 trails on his own property and it has a private sand beach! Breakfast was delicious every day. We will definitely come back here if we can
The owner greeted us when we arrived and explained in a very confusing way how the B&B worked and then led us to our room through a maze of stairs, then rooms then more stairs, to the 3rd floor. Then we opened the door to our room #7. To my amazement the door literally opened to another flight of stairs! See photos. Carrying our suitcases and gear to the room was quite the chore. (No offer from the staff for help). Then as we got settled, I discovered that the deadbolt lock didn’t lock. Couldn’t seem to find the keeper, who was probably home. Showered etc without a secured door. At breakfast the next morning I complained about the deadbolt and the keeper promised to fix it. Of course when we returned that day deadbolt was not repaired. Tried to find the keeper to complain to no avail. Knowing he wouldn’t have it fixed that night, we spent another night unsecured. At breakfast the next morning the keeper went out of his way to avoid me. Breakfast was cold thick blueberry pancakes, yuck. The view was a joke, literally had to sit in a rocking chair and bend over a little.
