Close to airport and highway, good value, decent enough furnishings and amenities. Good for an overnight stay if you want to not spend too much, but want a comfortable sleep.
Parking was easy and secure. Rooms were comfortable. Tap water was drinkable (I know that doesn't sound like much, but it's not at a lot of the less expensive places). Oh, and the coffee was excellent (and I'm a coffee snob and am quite picky....it was an unexpected bonus).
We had a great stay at the Motel 6 in Portland, Maine. The highlight of our stay was the gentleman at the front desk who checked us in. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and had me laughing from the moment I arrived, making us feel right at home after a long day of traveling.
Our room was surprisingly large, giving us plenty of space to relax and unpack. It was also very clean and well-maintained, which is always appreciated when you're on the road. Overall, the combination of excellent customer service, a spacious room, and a clean environment made for a wonderful stay. We would gladly stay here again when visiting Portland.
Room was ok clean, no shampoo/conditioner or other amenities in the room. No washcloths were available. Hallway rug was filthy and had trash on the floor. Shower area was very old and delapitated. Will never stay in a Motel 6 again.
Gross….the Lobby or lack of -dirty -I felt like I was at an auto shop…staff not friendly nor welcoming- overwhelmed- as try to call earlier to cancel - and there was NO answer … The short walk to elevator smelled of mold & mildew. Room was “cleaned” (room deodorized) but stray hairs in bed AND in bathroom - refrigerator needed to be cleaned, curtains had a bizarre red spots (need a CSI black light) … bathroom floor need to swept AND scrubbed- needless to say I did not take off my shoes. Bed sheets were itchy … not comfortable- weak shower & the tub did NOT drain- we were at the Bates Motel - nothing like the pictures on Expedia - there should be an honest representation on the site …. Lastly NO amenities- not even shampoo just 2 bars of soap…
Originally, the place didn’t seem terrible. the room looked nice aesthetically, the tv worked nicely, plenty of outlets and overall good location for food. My partner and I were deterred by the fact that the air conditioner was loud enough to the point of consistently waking us up, and I was going to take a shower and had to open the door to the manager of the building who suspected a leak coming from the room. I feel as though if my room was leaking, I could have called them instead of opening the door with nothing but a towel. Several drug deals took place on or around the property, and there’s a strange white dust throughout the halls. The elevator is a little finnicky, You don’t fully know on the second floor if it acknowledged that you were trying to go down, and you can’t exit through any of the exit stairs; they’re all backed with alarmed doors. It’s elevator or nothing. The doors tell you to engage the deadbolt and lock which is more unnerving than helpful. I think the last nail in the coffin before deciding to leave early was the woman screaming for an hour and a half at 7 or 8 in the morning, and the lack of a fridge, which I am not used to in a hotel, or motel. The staff was kind, and it seemed as though they house troubled folks to keep them off the streets which is a very kind thing to do, but I wouldn’t recommend your family stays here, it overall just feels unsafe and you will not get much sleep, so beware.

Quiet
Needed a place to sleep after a long journey home from overseas. This fit the bill and allowed us to continue our trip back home feeling more rested. The room was basic and quiet with a comfortable bed.
Value priced. Convenient to highway. Lots of parking. Friendly staff. We left Bathroom fan on 24 hours for air exchange as there was smell of pot in hallway.
Excellent stay, friendly staff. Very basic…..no hairdryer, no coffee except for early morning, no microwave or coffee machine in the rooms. Great price for bed though.
The room was generally clean, although I did notice a few hairs on the bedsheet. During my two-night stay, I had to switch rooms twice—first because the ceiling started leaking, and then because the door lock in the second room wasn’t working. Additionally, the elevator was out of service when I checked in.
That said, the staff was very friendly and responsive. They helped me quickly and resolved each issue within minutes, which I really appreciated.
There are not a lot of local eateries, but the staff were friendly and responsive, check in was a breeze, the room was clean and tidy and the water in the taps was hot. The bed was pretty comfortable too and the internet was fast. Overall it was a good hotel stay, esp. for the price. The coffee was tolerable too (which is, although it doesn't sound like it, high praise given what I've had elsewhere).
Motel is being updated; room was super nice as well as clean. Neutral decor in new rooms had in a calming effect.
Towels were numerous and fluffy.
Bed mattresses were great -- one of the best night's sleep I've had in a long time.
Handicapped accessible bath was nice and the bench met our needs.
Staff were extremely helpful sharing knowledge about the area.
Motel was very affordable.

Room is clean. The area is a little sketchy. Ice machine not working. Just staying the night so for the price it is ok.
Good location, convenient to airport. Beds a bit soft, lumpy but sheets were clean and blankets nice and sufficient. Floor was not clean enough. Tried a few times to call to confirm but never got an answer.

The check-in receptionist efficient and friendly. But elevator not working and us seniors have a hard time carrying bags to second floor. Also a bit noisy late at night - woke us up a couple of times.
