We enjoyed our stay - the staff were super friendly and helpful. Great resort for Australian standards if you after somewhere to prop and stop , great pools , gym and excellent dining choices - will definitely return.

The buffet breakfast was disappointing 😞 We went for Easter Long weekend and the swim up bar was closed and was informed they do not pay staff public holiday to run the bar (seriously) our room was not what we paid for and staff argued when we asked for the room advertised for the price. Shantara Resort Port Douglas - Adults Only Retreat
The hotel is excellent and its location is in walking distance to many good restaurants, bars, and cafes. It is also less than five minutes to a netted beach which is ideal for a swim. I would highly recommend his hotel to anyone!!
