"This was a lovely place to stay and the owner and staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We loved the little parlor where you can enjoy a cup of tea before bed. There is a very nice patio to sit out on. When showering, the bathroom floor gets wet because there's just a drain in the floor with only a curtain separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom, but at least it was easy to get in and out of without having to climb into a slippery tub like some other places we stayed. This place has character, is clean, and we enjoyed it. "

"Beautiful well maintained location! Amazing views! The breakfast buffet was great and so large! Particularly loved the orange juice and cappuccino machines. The restaurant on site has the same menu for lunch and dinner so pro tip eat lunch at the bar with a different menu if you aren’t going out. The shuttle only goes to San Gimignano and runs at 10, 11:15, 1:30 and 5:15. We wish there was a 3PM option but taking public transport is cheap and easy. This is an amazing place to stay to visit San G. The pool area is beautiful but a hot tub would amazing here! The air conditioning only works at certain times so if staying on property it is off from 8am-2pm and 7-9PM. Rooms can get stuffy during those times but you can open windows/outside doors. The AC is great when it’s on. Overall very beautiful and relaxing and would recommend!"

"Authentic 13th century building with so much character and charm. The room was very unique and opened to a lovely courtyard. The location was great, and very close to the gate. A full Italian breakfast buffet was offered at a reasonable cost. Laundry service was also available. And the hosts were very friendly and helpful."

"No Heat, No Host Communication and Awkward. We got lucky with check in that the daughter answered the door and let us in. We never saw the host. I thought this was more of a hotel or bed and breakfast than a room in someone's house as it was. We ordered a double room and it was three rooms on the third floor of the property (One being the daughter of the hosts room) and two rooms that we did stay in and a shared bathroom. The daughter did not share the bathroom but it was clear it was hers usually. The pictures show a de-cluttered cuter version of what was there. They are storing (and not in a cute way) there things in these rooms too. Downstairs there was a very small room with a couch I suppose we could have used but it was awkward. We never really saw anyone and never the host the entire stay. I messaged the host twice and never heard back. We wanted wine glasses and for them to turn ON the heat. Yes, there was no heat! It was so cold we didn't want to shower! I think it had to be 55 degrees in there. I expected quaint in San Gimignano for this price, but this was not a comfortable stay. "

"San Gimignano is a beautiful town. We were off season so many of the shops and restaurants and some attractions we closed, but still there was lots to do and see, and enough good restaurants. And of course there were no crowds which was lovely. We took a Chianti region wine tour with Bruno and it was fantastic. We learned so much, and Bruno is a gem. The apartment was cute and very convenient to everything in town. It also had lovely views. It’s a medieval building that has been updated for today, but unsurprisingly there are some hiccups that can occur. However, everything was manageable and the host and housekeeper were very helpful. San Gimignano is a walking town and it is steep so it’s not a place for people with physical limitations, but if you can walk well it is a wonderful place."
