When you first arrive you may be put off by the area because it’s not near the tourist spots but not to worry. The hotel is in the real neighborhood of playa with a relaxing quiet vibe and warm people You’ll love it!

We had a very comfortable stay at Suites Cielo y Mar. The locations is nice, only 5 min. walk to a quieter more local beach of Playa del Carmen. Yet at walking distance 20 min. from the busy center and bars and restaurants. Personnel very friendly and helpful. Thanks and we come back!

They upgraded up to a better room at no cost. The suite they gave us had a double bathroom which came in handy after the beach. The hotel is a bit far from the food areas, but overall it’s a good location especially for the price. The staff is very friendly and were always so helpful.

We enjoyed the yard and roof top pool. We felt at home. A few mnutes walk to all our favorite beaches. A walk down 5th Ave gave us our exercise. We met guests from various parts of Europe and a few from North America. I would recommend a stay and will come back again.

Inexpensive but very nice hotel in a quiet location near Quinta Avenida which is going to tourist zone with a plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and boutiques. About 6-8 minutes of walking to the closest beach Playa 88, which is very good as well. Quinta Avenida is not in a perfect condition in this location, not so clean and not well-maintained, but quiet and safe; you can see many tourists walking, jogging or riding bicycles. Hotel stuff is very friendly and helpful, most of them can speak English. Room cleaning has been performed daily with all possible perfection. Hall room at the 1st floor is used for breakfasts and parties. Breakfasts usually include a yogurt with granola, cheese, butter, jam, bread, fresh juice and mix of fruit pieces like papaya, pineapple, melon and watermelon. Unfortunately, no any eggs, scrambled or boiled. However, we were buying eggs in a closest store and scrambling them using a microwave in our room (but if you want to repeat this experience, please find and review appropriate instructions on Youtube before you do that! :-)) Overall, we have very good impression about the hotel, and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for budget but nice place to stay, without expensive all-inclusive benefits.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The neighborhood is extremely inconvenient and there are no facilities and no restaurants and it is extremely difficult for taxis and Uber drivers to even find the hotel. once you arrive at the hotel, their system for entry is very confusing and complicated and does not work well. i’m a big believer in using technology, but their system is very poor.

Selten so einen wortkargen und lieblosen Check-In, frei von Informationen gehabt. Da wir null Infos bekommen haben, haben wir auch erst am letzten Tag erfahren, dass es ein gratis Frühstück gibt. Von außen ist das Hotel nicht sehr schön, die Zimmer dafür überragend. Schön und sauber und ruhig. Direkt um die Ecke ist ein Waschsalon, der alles macht für 14 MXN pro kg. In die belebte Zone sind es 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Fanden wir gut, weil ruhiger. Direkt 2 Public beaches vir der Tür; Playa 88 bis Esmeralda können wir empfehlen. Der Pool auf dem Dach war auch nice, es nut keine Dusche dort. Würden hier wieder übernachten.
