"It’s a nice place in a very historic area. Keep this in mind while reading. We were a bit confused on arrival because the hilltop towns in Italy have no drive zones with heavy fines. We couldn’t really understand how to drive to the hotel without entering the forbidden zone so we parked in a lot outside the zone. We made the mistake of taking escalators and walking quite a distance to get to the hotel. If we did it again we would have called a cab. On the exit we did call a cab and it made things a much easier. The second issue was with air conditioning. Turns out that the government regulates the use of air conditioning and it couldn’t be turned on during our stay. This wouldn’t have been a problem but the top of the hotel has a large glass roof that traps a lot of heat. So, if you are staying in the shoulder season, request a fan to the room. The place is nice, it’s not a problem, just be prepared and know that you have to be understanding and just enjoy it for what it is. Siena is a very special place. Enjoy!"

"We had an apartment for 3 people. It was very spacious: large room with beds, a couple chairs and small table. The kitchenette had sink, cupboards, microwave, small table, coffee maker (with pods ). The bathroom was long and narrow, big for European standards. The location was good, away from the crowds. Parking in Santa Caterina garage is ideal. Park there, and the owner can give you a QR code to present upon exiting for a cheaper price. All the apartments are located in the same general area but not all attached to one another. I believe some apartments come with breakfast included, ours did not which was fine. The owner was nice. Check in starts at 3."

"Pretty basic stay, the bed was very hard and the pillows thin. Breakfast was generous in portions and okay given the accommodations. Staff was helpful and kind, including when we had a problem with the heating."

"The location of the hotel was excellent and very convenient. However, the walls were quite thin, and I could clearly hear neighbours talking as well as toilets flushing, which made it difficult to relax. The water pressure in the shower was also very weak. I raised this issue with the staff, but I was told that moving to a different room would incur an additional charge. Given the inconvenience, it would have been appreciated if an alternative room had been offered as a gesture of goodwill. As I was only staying for two nights, I decided not to pursue the matter further."

"This is a clean, quaint little B&B in the heart of Siena. Pietro was simply amazing. Due to travel snafus, I arrived well past the check-in window. He accommodated me and made my stay wonderful. I will stay there again."
