3/5 - Okay
Villa Casale is amazing, but the town of Piazza Armerina is totally skippable. No great sights, and honestly, the residents are not very friendly. They're not overly rude, just obviously not fond of tourists. See the Villa, then move on.

Historic Centre is noteworthy for its historic sites, and you can make a stop at top attractions like Casa Museo del Contadino and Palazzo Trigona.

Thanks to our host, Rita, we had a wonderful stay. My wife and I enjoyed the evening immensely. The room was clean and the bed comfortable; the house is a delight, as was the food and drink. There is secure parking and you are close to town without being right in town. A quick drive to the Villa ...

The room was very clean and updated. This property would be great in the summer. There was a bus tour in the main hotel so we stayed in the nice outer building. Quiet but took a long time to get hot water

Driving around the old town isn't for the faint of heart, but once you parked the car, the house is brilliant, with the cosy mountain house feeling. Clean, filled with little things one might need, especially if one is on a road trip. We had coffee, tea, salt and oil, milk and jam for our breakfast ...

Nice apartment & the owner was kind & helpful. The property was very hard to find & distant from Piazza Armerina. I scratchedmy rental car trying to pull into the driveway.

We did not go into Piazza Armerina. We spent all our time visiting Villa Romana. It is remarkable for its mosaics.
Piazza Armerina is a lovely old hill town with wonderful people and a beautiful church. The views of the countryside are wonderful.
We have said it all. it was excellent the staff helped to make our holiday very good.
We were on a pretty tight schedule, so we limited ourselves to the stunning mosaics at the 3rd C. Roman Villa outside of town, but the town itself looks totally visit-worthy as well.
