Viewpoint of Mai Chau, a small mountain town about four hours west of Hanoi. It's a beautiful place to spend a few days bicycling through rice fields, motorbiking to the lake, and exploring local villages.

An easy activity that you can do without a guide while in Mai Chau is walk up the 1000 steps. The steps begin just off the main road and end at an amazing cave, with remarkable viewpoints of the town below as you go along. Make sure to bring water! 5,000d.
