Welcome to The Not So Tiny Cottage, a lovingly restored 1930s bungalow nestled in the heart of the Gilbert Heritage District. Our cottage has been a favorite in the neighborhood for over six years—earning a reputation for comfort, charm, and genuine hospitality.

Step inside and experience a unique blend of vintage character and modern convenience. Original details and classic cottage vibes are complemented by high-end fixtures and updated appliances, making your stay better than ever. The bathroom features a spacious, beautiful shower and a one-of-a-kind vintage dresser converted into a sink console with plenty of storage. In the master bedroom, you’ll find a plush queen bed, another vintage dresser, and a wall-to-wall closet for all your things. Just outside, a private outdoor shower—added by popular demand—lets you soak up the Arizona sun, and our guests rave about it all summer long.

The flexible den/office space is perfect for remote work or dining, with a desk (and computer monitor) that easily converts to a table. Extra folding chairs are tucked away in the closet, and a twin daybed makes this space ideal for a third guest or friends traveling together.

Out front, our extra-large covered porch is a guest favorite for morning coffee or sunset wine. Dine al fresco under the vine-covered pergola, surrounded by lush landscaping that creates a true oasis in the heart of town. And yes, your furry friends are welcome—our huge, fenced yard is a paradise for dogs, complete with a doggy door for easy access.

Location is everything, and you won’t find a better spot. We’re just a three-minute stroll from Downtown Gilbert’s best restaurants, shops, and attractions. Great little place!

We were able to get away for several days and really enjoyed using this cottage as our home base. Quiet, close to lots of delicious food, Hale Theatre, Farmers Market, etc. Will definitely stay here again the next time we come to town :)

Beautiful Perfect Cottage

We loved our stay at this beautiful cottage! Equipped with everything you need to feel at home and comfortable. Especially enjoyed sitting outside listening to the neighborhood birds, including several pairs of lovebirds. Easy walk to many great restaurants. We didn’t want to leave!

Best Stay Ever

I've stayed at many vacation rentals on many platforms. This cottage is by far the best place I've ever stayed. I only wish Mary & Philippe had more availability so I could stay longer. Immaculately clean, warm, welcoming, comfortable beyond belief and in a safe and walkable part of town. Mary & Philippe have thought of every single thing and made this lovely cottage truly feel like home. I can't say enough great things about this stay. I strongly encourage others to stay and experience this beautiful home.

Darling cottage, great location.

I rented this cute little house for a visiting friend and her 13 yr old daughter. It was just as pretty as the pictures make it look and surprisingly spacious for a one bedroom. The daughter stayed in the office space which has a huge, comfy couch and a door to close it off. She was very comfortable. The kitchen was really nice. The main steet of Gilbert has wonderful shops and restaurants and is an easy walk from the cottage. The owner’s son lives nearby and both he and the owner were extremely responsive to all queries. The price for such a nice place in the Phoenix area is very reasonable!

My husband and I were comfortable at this home but !!! I was allergic to something in the house. Which made a very long week after coming in and out for sometime we came to the conclusion it was pet or cat dander so after allergy meds we were all good the house charming and comfy.

Awesome spot in Gilbert!

Loved everything - the house is listed as the not so tiny house but it was plenty of space. My wife works from home and they have an awesome separate room/office that worked perfect. The Wi-Fi is really good and she never had any issue. The kitchen is a full sized kitchen and well equipped. The bedroom is perfectly good as well. The front yard is absolutely wonderful especially this time of year - we had our dog with us who is used to an apartment and she spent 95% of her time out there. The hosts were extremely quick to answer questions and could not have been nicer. And the best part is you are a few minutes walk to downtown Gilbert - which has a lot of restaurants and bars. We took our dog most every night to a new spot - could not have been more convenient. 100% recommend

Ideal

I stayed here several times recently while traveling for work. The location is perfect. I enjoyed walking downtown and finding someplace to people watch and enjoy dinner. The cottage has everything you could need and plenty of space for a family of 2-3 plus dog. My dog hasn’t seen grass in years and loved the large yard. Highly recommend the Not so tiny Cottage!

Cottage stay

We enjoyed our time at the Not So Tiny Cottage. Very comfortable for two people. It was nice to have a front porch to sit on in the morning and watch the wild lovebirds in the trees. It is definitely someone's home when not being rented and the neighborhood has a lot of close houses but it was always quiet at night. Did not love the memory foam mattress though and the height of the bed would be difficult for some people. But the location was ideal!

Gilbert gem

The house is set-up to enjoy without having to go anywhere with the outdoor fire pit and lovely lawn and patios and multiple seating areas as well as comfort inside for visiting, relaxing or watching tv. We enjoyed the short walk to the bustling old town Gilbert area which has so many excellent restaurant choices to enjoy without ever having to get in the car!

Cozy Cottage!

Great cozy cottage! Perfect for our stay in Gilbert. Everything was provided and then some. I gained a couple of pounds sneaking the Dove chocolate in the glass jar! Our little Chihuahua loved the front yard with the grass. When we had questions, we always had a quick response. Walking distance to Farmer's Market and all the downtown restaurants.
