Combining city convenience and lush seclusion, Scottsdale Desert Oasis lives up to its name, and then some. Find three bedrooms, two baths, and a breezy, open layout with vaulted ceilings, skylights and outdoor access from multiple rooms - open the glass doors for seamless indoor/outdoor living. (There’s central air, too, of course!)

Perfect for re-locators seeking their “forever home” in the area, or as an adventure basecamp, a snowbirds' nest, or a relaxing retreat for families. Whatever brings you to Scottsdale, be sure to take a quiet moment to sprawl out on our hammock under the leafy shade of mature trees and breathe in the citrus-scented air.

Speaking of “sprawl”...you may have heard Phoenix/Scottsdale has a lot of that. Opinions are mixed, but it’s undeniable that our north-central location makes the most of Scottsdale’s continued growth. Everything you need and want is nearby, with easy access on and off the freeways:

Despite the bustle all around, your home base is located a residential neighborhood, nestled between Gainey Ranch and Paradise Valley, where you can “live like a local” for as long as you’re here. The house’s large, corner lot only adds to the quiet, and is one of the reasons I didn’t sell the house after spending 13 years living here!

Guests say the fully equipped kitchen is a lot of fun to cook in, and we’ve stocked it well for that purpose. Feel free to select from our herb garden in the yard and citrus fruits from the trees (when in season) to enhance your meals. Serve your meal at an 8-person farmhouse table. Or dine al fresco in the yard. There are also gas and charcoal grills for you to use.

After dinner, retreat to the den with its wood-burning fireplace and a large flat-screen with Dish network cable TV and Starz. Or grab a bottle of wine gather around the outdoor fire pit.

Don’t leave your dog at home; we’re pet-friendly (for an additional fee). They'll love the yard, too!

Bed and Bath

Desert Oasis has three bedrooms: one master suite and two guest bedrooms that share a bath.

The master features a queen bed, flat-screen TV, sliding glass doors to the yard, and an arched entry to the en-suite bath, which has a tiled shower/floors and glass block windows for both daylight and privacy.

The guest bedrooms have a queen bed and a full bed, respectively, and their shared bath across the hall has a tub/shower combo and travertine tile.

A separate office space is ideal for getting work done. We even provide the computer! Or inflate the Aero bed to sleep extra guests - there's an armoire in this room for their clothes.

Relaxing fun time

We had a great time and the house had all of luxuries and amenities that we were looking for. Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (a fetching maniac) loved the large lawn backyard daily for endless hours. A very convenient location for easy trips to town.

We enjoyed this property for approximately 3 months while our home was being worked on. The property was very clean, spacious for a family of 4, and had all amenities needed plus some. The owner was very quick to respond to questions.

Ideal place for a Phoenix metro area stay.

The home was nearly perfect for our needs — clean, plenty of room for two of us, dog-friendly, well-stocked with cooking and eating supplies, beautiful neighborhood in Gainey Ranch, and extremely well-located for easy access to stores, golf, and sights. I’d re-rent it in a second on our next extended stay in Arizona.

geting some sunshine

we decided to drive to Scottsdale from Tacoma with our dogs for a longer stay. The home worked our beautifully for that. The back yard was perfect for the dogs. They enjoyed running up and back, it was very spacious.'The home was comfortable, with TV's in every room!It was rather cold in Scottsdale for our stay so we werent able to stay ourside and use the patio other than one day. We though that it was a good location to get to friends and restaurants. I enjoyed the walks with the dogs. Safe, quiet neighborhood. We had a great time.

A great winter getaway!

We loved sitting out on either the front patio or in the backyard watching the hummingbirds, butterflies and garden come to life with blooms. We enjoyed riding the bikes that were available for our use, riding the nearby Indian Bend Wash path. Great location for restaurants and hiking too. The house is well represented by the photos. Beth was a pleasure to work with. Liked it so much we'll be back next year!

Home base

We were here to compete at the agility world games at Westworld. We spent long days there so it was nice to have a comfortable place in a great location. The hall bathroom shower needs better water pressure and the king mattress needs replacing (we sunk down). All in all easily remedied and we would stay here again.

Perfect location

Holiday Haven in the Sunshine

This was the perfect 'home away from home' for the holiday this year. We all needed to get out of winter weather and play in the sun and rocks. The location of this home was fab! It's close to so many parks and hiking trails for early morning exercise. Coffee and reading a book in the back yard hammock was peaceful. The layout of the home was very functional for our 6 adults. Since it was the holiday season, we didn't want to skimp on fabulous meals and treats. The kitchen was a bakers dream. I've stayed in lots of VRBO homes around the globe and no home has been as well stocked in the kitchen as this home. It had everything I needed from the citrus zester to muffin tins and a bundt pan. I packed my fav kitchen tools since we drove but I didn't need them! HOORAY During our stay, there was a plumbing issue. It was quickly addressed by the property mgmt. The plumbing company that was hired stayed in good touch with me regarding scheduling, etc. Easy-peasy! Grocery and other shopping is very close. The home is about 15 minutes from Old Scottsdale (easy to get to). While there we recommend you enjoy a meal at Bandera and/or Bootlegger's. Check out the aquarium or one of the many auto museums if you're looking for a family activity. The neighborhood is quiet, well lit and has nice sidewalks for walking the dog in the evening. I felt very safe in the home and in the surrounding neighborhoods. The area is very dog friendly. You'll meet lots of fur-friends while strolling.

Perfect Home Away From Home

The house had everything we needed for our family of four and was in a great location. The owner Beth was very responsive whenever I had a question and took care of everything we needed right away. When the AC stopped working in 110 degree heat, Beth had a repairman fix it extremely quickly before it ever had a chance to heat up. Also, the neighbors are all very nice and friendly and the house is located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay here and couldn’t have found a better place to stay while we waited for our own home to be ready.
