Built in an ancient court and recently restored, the house mixes the charm of the typical architecture of that time with modern elements. In the warm atmosphere, created by oak-beamed, tile floor, thick dark walls and monachine windows, you will find all the comfort that you need for your stay near the city of Love, Verona, proclaimed from UNESCO as world heritage.
In the kitchen you will find an oven, coffee machine, microwave, laundry-machine, dryer, air-conditioner. The sleeping area is designed for creating a protected nest and it’s located in the mansard of the accommodation. In the living area you will find a very comfy sofa, which can be also a double bed; the sofa makes the little house a nice refuge, not just for the couple but also for a family or a group of friends.
Crossed the threshold, you can walk on a cobblestones path, along the river (as you can see from the pictures) that will lead you, in just a few metres, in the centre of the medieval village. Once there, you can enjoy breakfast, which we would be glad to offer to you, sat on the bank of the River Adige.
Pescantina is a little medieval bourg belonging to the district of Valpolicella, known for the gold metal for humanitarian merits during the Second World War.
It is also included among the districts of the so called “Wine’s Street”, where some of the most refined wines are produced. Valpolicella belongs also to Lessinia’s occidental area.
A lot of Veronese choose today Pescantina for its privileged location, a perfect mix between the bourg’s tranquillity and the strategic proximity to the historical centre of Verona and Lake Garda. The bourg is provided with all the services that you need. A few metres faraway the house you can find a bakeshop, a butcher shop, little stores for women and men, a beauty centre, all of them are inserted in the typical architectural background. Walking on the path along the river, you can reach in a few minutes the historical centre, where you can find coffee-bars, taverns, pizzerias, tobacco shop, newsstand, library and barber. 500 m faraway there is a little trade point with a supermarket, a post office, banks and other different shops.
In Pescantina district you will find also Aquardens, the biggest thermal park of Italy, perfect for your moments of relax.
