"The hotel is gorgeous and a fantastic stay! The location was ideal. This is my second experience at a Royal Sonesta and they charge for everything! Know this in advance. The credit card hold placed at check in for incidentals is above industry standard. You will pay for parking, you will overpay for a buffet breakfast, you will pay for everything. There are no refrigerators or coffee makers in the room so you cannot even bring food in and keep it for your stay and you are at the mercy of the restaurant schedule. The restaurant/bar schedule was super inconvenient. Limited and not open for afternoon or after hours cocktails. Difficult to relax when you constantly have to leave the hotel."

"This VRBO did not disappoint. We were a large group of singles. We spent a lot of time in the beautiful backyard. It was very clean, and the layout worked really well for all of us. The backyard is wonderful, private, with flowers, fruit trees, and plants. It is landscaped with thought and love. The short walk to the grocery store is wonderful, and the store is perfect! A few rugs would help with the echo upstairs. The steps to the second floor are steep; they have really good handrails, but I want people to be aware of them. There are lots of restaurants and parks in the area. Parking was busy during the day and less full at night around 9 pm. The sheets and blankets were in good supply, but not high quality. The mattresses were great, and the clothes storage was great. The hot water pot was perfect, with a French press for coffee drinkers. The coffee/tea mugs were small but functional. The location was fabulous. Cons: We really needed one more Japanese mattress on the floor. I offered to buy one and have it sent there, but it was refused, so I slept on the floor, and it wasn't a great situation for me. The couch was also not a comfortable place for one of the other guests to sleep. The kitchen supplies were light; it would have been tricky to actually cook there. The pillows were all the same, and some needed less fill or a lower, smaller option.In closing, we would definitely stay here again in the future, especially if we could add two Japanese mattresses."

"This basement apartment is conveniently located; it’s close to restaurants and the Alberta Arts District. Despite not having AC, this place stayed incredibly cool during the 90 degree Portland summer weather! The floor plan is well laid out and it is sunny and spacious, with everything one needs provided, including washer and dryer. Beds were very comfortable. Communication was excellent. Our dog was very happy there!"

"An awesome experience, the idea of a common shower and a common bathroom was at first never something that be ok with….but they were private and easily secured. The place was a restomod and was something Id tell everyone to experience. Imagine being in an early 1900s maybe late 1800s hotel that squeaked with twelve foot ceiling and everything immaculate"

"Location is great! Close to downtown and airport, with many choices of places to eat! Room was clean, stsndard hotel, ice machine, and we got locked out but when we got back a second key got made & helped a lot. Thank you!"

"Spot on; definitely note as someone booking through Expedia the pools are not included. May be better to have it as something to add on like other spots have breakfast? Already booked again. Not sure where other reviews are staying but even the studio is absolutely roomy enough. Love the expansive fridge and other kitchenette features. Knowing it’s sustainably, while beautifully built is icing on the cake. Terra Mae is incredible as well."
