Quiet location on the river, but not far from the town. The service from all staff was outstanding and very welcoming . The food was great and went out of their way to accommodate food request. The exec chef, Satyajeet and his staff provided amazing service. We also used BhutanSwallow tours and would highly recommend their services.
The property was gorgeous and the room very comfortable.
Dinner answer breakfast left much to be desired. Service was EXTREMELY slow and breakfast variety limited.
Everything was great except for the bed being way too hard. For the second night we asked for some extra duvet covers and blankets which we but under us too soften up the hard bed. It made it a lot better. Location and staff were excellent! Perfect for staying in Paro if you want to be close to the airport.
This hotel is in one of the best locations possible, by the gurgling river Paro, along which you can stroll at leisure after the brilliant high-tea the chefs here serve. The rooms are great, and the hospitality team led by the manager Ugyen Wangchuk (special mention to wait staff, Tashi Tobgay) is really good at their jobs.
The whole kitchen staff led by Chef Satyajit and Rahi are so welcoming and good. Ugyen Dorji at the coffee shop is always ready with fun conversation.
We really enjoyed the Chef’s hospitality and great cooking.
We didn’t anticipate our trip to Bhutan to be a good food trip, but the chefs here have gone above and beyond to ensure we have a great time!
A pleasant stay at the end of our hectic trip. This gave us opportunity to relax and gear up for the hectic schedule that awaited us. The overall experience was good and the property lived up to all expectations from a 5-star property. There was nothing much to do at the property apart from usual spa, gym etc. This appeared more as a business hotel rather than a resort that we had assumed. Perhaps a cultural evening or help in planning few off-beat activities in a tourist destination like Paro would have been wonderful.
This hotel was fantastic. We had gotten back from a hike to the Tigers nest and our boots were covered with dust. We asked them about cleaning and the staff came and picked them up and got them cleaned immediately. It is a really nice hotel and the food and spa services were really good as well.
Below my expectation. Prefer Thimphu Meridien.
Didn't like the rooms.. it is dark and the bathroom not covered properly with blinds.
Also rooms are small.
Food not excellent as compared to Meridien Thimphu
But the reception area was very impressive
All the members of the staff that we met at the property were impeccably polite and friendly. Room service was easy and the selection was great. The real plus was the fantastic view from our room. I will definitely stay here again when we return to Paro!
great hotel with good service and food, but pricey
good location but the front open area of the property not that well designed, the view is great but they should have a better landscaping for a enhanced beauty of the location.the room sizes are okay, rest the
staff and service food is very good, very good breakfast.
